What method do you use to interpret your dreams?

There’s so much I’m not getting from my dreams because I have no idea on how to interpret them? Sometimes, I’ll notice that I’ll reference things that happened in my waking life while in the dream. Some of the stuff I see in my dreams are very hard to digest. Any tips

My dreamwork tends to be richest when I pay attention to the emotional tone of the dream and the ways it carries over into waking life. If you're dreaming of events from your waking life then it might be useful to inquire into how you're feeling about them, notice your emotional reactions and the stories you start telling yourself about the event or situation.

Maybe it's just me but honestly it's kind of easier to interpret others' dreams. Mine usually lack any of the common symbols and tropes.

I use ChatGPT. It might sound a little silly, because ideally, we’d all like to learn to do this ourselves, the old-fashioned way. But honestly, the results really impressed me.

I try to give it as many details as possible about the dream (everything I can remember, even details that seem completely insignificant to me) and most of the time it offers interpretations I would never have thought of on my own. Even with a “mundane” dream, one that doesn’t seem particularly rich in meaning, I often manage to uncover some real gems. And when I have one of those dreams that’s really hard to process, I find it surprisingly helpful, too. It’s interpretation brings out things that are truly meaningful and help me take big steps forward on my own journey.

I don't even think I specifically asked him to use a particular approach.

I think it’s also a great resource for learning. By seeing what he's able to glean from your dreams, you gradually learn to interpret them yourself. You start to notice the kinds of connections he makes, the significance of certain details, and the different layers a dream can have.
