Hi!

I wanted to ask y'all if you did any spell/ritual that literally changed your life?

If yes, could you share what was this spell/ritual and what happened that was so great that it changed your life?

Back when I was in university in the 1980s, I came out as gay. I dated a few people but hadn't found "the one" who I wanted to settle down with.

I was practicing witchcraft (basically eclectic Wicca) on my own at that time. I put together a spell using an apple to help attract into my life a person who could become my boyfriend and hopefully someone to share my life with.

The spell worked and I met a wonderful guy who I started dating, then we moved in together, then after a couple of years together we decided to get married even though same-sex marriage wasn't legal at the time. We asked the Anglican chaplain at our university to do the ceremony for us. It was the chaplain's first Anglican-Wiccan marriage ceremony, and his first same-sex marriage ceremony. (We felt that having a "recognized" clergy perform our marriage would help our families to see our marriage as valid. It definitely helped them!)

The marriage was back in 1990. When same-sex marriage was finally legal in Canada (where we live) we had a civil ceremony at city hall. But we consider our 1990 marriage to be the "real" one.

This August we celebrate our thirty-sixth anniversary of our wedding. Through all this we became dads (we adopted two brothers from the foster care system), and now that our sons are grown and in their own relationships we are granddads as well. We've got three wonderful grandkids.

So in my case doing an apple spell to attract love definitely changed my life.

Here's the spell:

An Apple Spell to Attract Love

The following spell is one that I made up myself and have used once for myself and a few times for others, always with great success. It’s a good way to help you to meet the person who meets your list of requirements. When you make up your list of what you’d like in an ideal partner, be careful to list what you truly desire! You just might get it.

The times I’ve done this spell before it has worked in bringing a person as described in the list within about a week, and in one case it happened within hours of doing the spell. The spell provides the introduction but it’s up to you to do something with it once the person has appeared in your life.

Things You’ll Need:
– a nice fresh apple
– a small piece of paper
– a pen to write on the paper
– a sharp knife (your athame if you use it to cut items, otherwise a normal sharp knife)
– yarn that you can use to wrap up the apple (white, red, or pink)

What To Do:
  1. Sit down and think about the qualities in the person you want to draw to you. What would your ideal soul-mate be like? What qualities should they have? Make a list that is clear and as complete as possible. Don’t leave out anything that you consider important.
  2. Once you are clear what your list contains, write it out on the small piece of paper. You might need to write really small letters to get it to all fit. Write on both sides of the paper if you need to.
  3. Take the apple in both hands and hold it up to your face and smell it with a deep breath. Feel the texture of the apple in your hands. Touch the apple to your cheek. Hold the apple up high above your head. Hold the apple out in front of you and turn around clockwise slowly, showing the apple to the four directions. Then bend down and touch the apple gently to the ground at your feet.
  4. Stand up again and take the knife, and cut the apple in half (across so you can see the star in the middle where the seeds are.) Put down the knife.
  5. Hold the apple up close to your face and take another deep breath, smelling the apple.
  6. Put down the apple and then take the small paper with your list on it. Fold the paper up as small as you can make it.
  7. Put the folded paper in the middle of the cut apple and then put the two halves of the apple together.
  8. Use the yarn to tie the apple up and wrap it well with the yarn so there is no chance the apple can come apart. Use as much yarn as you feel is necessary. (You can even wrap the apple until only yarn is visible if you like.)
  9. After the apple is wrapped and tied up with the yarn, hold the apple up to your face again and breathe in deeply, smelling the tied apple and yarn.
  10. Hold the apple up above your head, then move the apple to hold it out in front of you. Turn around clockwise slowly to show the apple to the four directions, then when you are done bend down and touch the apple to the ground at your feet.
  11. Say, “Thee to me, and me to thee, and as I will, So mote it be!” The apple charm is now complete.
  12. Put the apple in some safe spot like in a cupboard or on a shelf, somewhere that is can be out of sight and left untouched. Check the apple every few days to make sure it is not turning rotten but is just drying out (you can usually tell by smelling it.) If the apple is turning rotten then it means the spell didn’t work right and the apple should be sprinkled with salt and thrown away. If the apple dries out without rotting then the spell is working.
After the spell has worked successfully it’s OK to keep the apple or to throw it away if you like. It will not affect the relationship at all after the magick has done its thing.

Yes! Ngondro! But if you don't want to get into the whole Tibetan Buddhism thing, it doesn't have to be that exact ritual (although it does connect you to a particularly wise and powerful current). The main thing is the practice of total devotion to a teacher/guide who is also the presence of the Absolute itself, which is also one's own true and highest being as it exists under all the obscurations and veils. I'm currently working on developing a course to teach this practice (or set of practices) in a way that is not specific to any particular lineage or mythic cosmos, so that people can work the heart of it by connecting to whatever figure or figures resonate for them.

I went to an employment agency after graduating from college with a degree in Business, and I felt they were discriminating against me because I was in the military during the last phases of the Vietnam War, as "everyone" knew that the service was full of tokers. My only experience with magick up until then was reading "The Black Arts", but I couldn't figure out what was so "black" about it. And the idea it would work was still there, after all ~ it wouldn't work, would it? So, I decided to do a homemade ritual I made up, using a TV tray, a tablecloth, several bowls and glasses, an old car radio antenna as a "sword", and knives, lotsa knives, and a candle. Nothing's going to happen; it's just a way to release some angst, right? So, I hated on them, "raised some power, and willed that they would suffer loss. It seemed rather silly, but the godsdamned thing worked within a couple of days. The building they were in caught on fire, and they were out of business. There's no "proof" that they were connected in any way, but I still believe they were. And that's what got me interested in pursuing magick further.

Thank you so much for sharing ur spell and story !

Stories like those are amazing to hear and so touching ! The fact that your story happened when it was so much harder for queer people to feel free to express their love and who they were is amazing!

Thank you again for sharing and happy anniversary !!

The spell that changed my life was actually a very simple banishing working directed at three people who had bullied me.

I wrote each of their names on separate pieces of toilet paper, sprinkled them with black pepper and cayenne pepper, spat on them, and flushed them away. The symbolism was to remove them completely from my life.

Within a few months, all three of them were gone from my daily life. It was the first spell where I saw what I felt were real results.

Looking back, I think the biggest difference wasn’t the ingredients—it was my intention. I had never put so much emotion, focus, and determination into a working before. Earlier spells never seemed to do much, and I suspect it was because I wasn't truly invested in them. That experience taught me that intention is at the heart of effective magick.

something simple. I wrote a petition, to one of the goetic demons, Dantalion, I think? Someone was offering a cat and there were several people wanting to take her. I asked to be seen in a good light, and got the cat :) best spell result I ever got - still got that cat and she made my life happier. one of the things I remember from that time: my previous cat had just died and I was sort of on the fence about another little pal in my life. I wasn't sure if I truly wanted it. I did want the cat, but getting the result wasn't everything. So the lusting for results trope? it's real. you got to let it go and be fine even if you don't get what you ask - but in many rituals, you may get what you ask. it can just take a long time.

What an adorable story, thank you for sharing this story.

I heard a lot of positive opinions on petitioning demons for help, I am happy that your petition was accepted!

I wish you only happiness and love to you and your precious little cat!

Working with the ars notoria, probably my hardest work and I managed to get it to work but it being my first time delving into any form of angelic magic it freaked me out as to what I was seeing. I never did finish the notae. I hope to redo it again.
