For me, the Arbatel. I love working with the Olympic Spirits. I've had a lot of success with Och and Aratron. Aratron helped towards securing a 1st class degree and Och helped diagnose my mum's broken leg (the hospital phoned to say they missed a broken leg less than a week after I asked Och to reveal the real reason for her leg pain).

More recently Och helped highlight my pitfall of lowballing salaries in a dream after I asked for career help. Phaleg gave me a spark or drive to self-study again, Ophiel helped with learning writing and coding again, Phul helped me discern a dicsign scam the morning after the Ritual, Bethor is quietly helping me grow spiritually in the background, Aratron helped solve and transmute family conflict the morning after.

But I really feel like I should talk about my TOTAL and abject FAILURE to make Chaos Magic sigils work FOR YEARS. I was a world-class loser.

This was age 18 to 23. I swear I really gave it the college try. Took it seriously. I read all the books - Carroll, Hine, Jan Fries’ Visual Magic - doing the gnosis trances and the automatic writing for sigils… and for what? Fucking nothing. Nada. Zip. Bupkis. Jack and shit. And these were well within normal probability. No huge asks.

And I love Chaos Magic. But the who knows what said, "Not for you, fucker." It wasn't until the journey I went on with the GV, HGA, Folk Catholicism, and then Neville (especially Mitch talking about Neville) did the CM sigils click.

Why? Dunno. Goetia was instance success right out of the Hell Gate. Terrifying but successful. I was a spooky kid. Didn't mean to be, just was.

But I still have no idea what stars I needed to be born under be to make CM sigils work back then. Looking back on many events in my life, it seems in retrospect, the GV daimons had plans for me from age 8. Fuckers gatekeeping my own magical path! Dicks! But fuck if I know for sure. The spirits are messy like that.

Interesting to hear what types of magick/schools of practice everyone has had the most material success with?

Personally, I’ve had the most material success with planetary magick, the Shem angels, and the Sefer HaRazim.

Planetary magick has worked very well for me because it gives structure to the work. Each planetary force has a clear sphere of influence, so it becomes easier to align the ritual with a specific goal: prosperity, protection, attraction, healing, authority, discipline, communication, and so on.

The Shem angels have also produced very refined and precise results for me. I find their current to be subtle, but extremely effective when the intention is clear and the work is done with consistency and respect.

The Sefer HaRazim, on the other hand, has felt much more ancient, direct, and operative in my experience. Its angelic hierarchies and ritual logic have worked wonders for opening roads, removing resistance, protection, healing, and bringing spiritual forces into concrete manifestation.

Of course, I think the system matters, but the operator’s discipline, clarity, timing, and spiritual alignment matter just as much. Still, if we’re talking specifically about material results, those three currents have been the most effective for me so far.
