What was your feeling when you first communicated with a spirit?

That's a pretty wide and open-ended question. I'm not even sure I remember the first time...

The earliest time I do remember communicating with what we'd generalizingly call a spirit happened in a meaningful dream as a child, and it just felt like meeting any adult I looked up to and considered a meaningful partner and teacher at that time... like when one of my father's friends showed me his amateur radio lab and taught me how to solder.

I don't think there's a very specific "feeling" to communication. It all depends on who you are and who the person / entity you are communicating with is.

Finally recognized and heard—years of prayers, a powerful spirit, perhaps even a god… bound to the times… not a word, but a mutual recognition—him there, me here… He literally lifted the veil to reveal himself to me. A surge of energy followed, no doubt from a lesser spirit connected to him. It was one of the rare times when the vision was clear, lucid, and memorable. Another time—and by no means less significant—it was an animal spirit, a wild boar.

It depends on how you define communication. The first time I invoked a spirit for a work, there was a feeling of energy release and exhaustion that followed.

The first time I've actually created a rapport and actually talked to a spirit, there was no distinct feeling; it was as ordinary as having my own thoughts.

The first time I got possessed, there was also nothing out of the ordinary; it felt more like a time skip, as I do not have any recollection of the process itself.
