What's after death?

many cultures and languages think wind/breath/air is soul,so i believe death is just a fog fly out from mouth and nose.

Much of esoteric research is finding what resonates with us internally. Valentinian Gnosticism is currently what resonates with me the most. We are divine sparks that fell into this physical Matrix. On our way down we picked up 7 "garments" or layers of consciousness that form our ego and fate, ruled by the 7 planets and 12 astrological archetypes. When we die, each of those layers is stripped as we ascend the 7 Heavens which are still part of this Matrix. If we can make it above the 7th Heaven by knowing our true origin - the Pleroma and the Monad - the fate/karma of the Matrix no longer can keep us trapped in the cycle of memory wipes and reincarnation. I believe the Pneuma (our divine spark) or its equivalent, the Neshama, remembers not just this lifetime, but all other lifetimes from the perspective of our Higher Self or Holy Guardian Angel. Performing the right rituals can help us practice this ascent while we're still alive.

A Sacramento Shaman and Transpersonal Psychologist suggested to me that those who experience heaven/hell in the afterlife are doing so because of their own strongly held beliefs and expectations, and do so on the astral plane, moving on to higher spiritual planes when they are ready. This sounds like a Theosophical outlook, to me.

The problem is in the perception of death. 99 per cent of people somehow perceive themselves as how they are aware right now, at this second of time. So, when going to heaven, the expectation doesn't specify whether it be myself today, myself at two years old or myself aged 90. If you could make your body endure to be 300 years old, by that time you would be so remote from what you are today you would still have died. As Heraclitus explained, every second of time changes you. Nothing is a fixed reality.
