• Hi guest! As you can see, the new Wizard Forums has been revived, and we are glad to have you visiting our site! However, it would be really helpful, both to you and us, if you registered on our website! Registering allows you to see all posts, and make posts yourself, which would be great if you could share your knowledge and opinions with us! You could also make posts to ask questions!

What's something someone has taught you, that has stuck with you in your practices?

Buddhist monk Jack Kornfield, "The trouble is, you think you have time."
Go ahead, procrastinate and assume there is unlimited time. The lesson of immediate action, appreciation of life, and presence because life is uncertain and fleeting. No time for BS or tolerating the wrong nonsense or teachings.

Self hypnosis.

I had been practicing meditation for several years but then I happened upon a shrink in the wild during the early 2000s who specialized in it, he walked me thru it and it added structure (not to mention a whole new bag of tools) to my practice.
