[Help] Which magickal practices do you recommend for manifesting and attracting what you desire?

Hi people, The other day I was watching a youtube video of a very good astrologist in which she talked about that astrologically we are near to two perfect planetary events for manifesting what we desire in our lives, these events are: Sun in conjunction with Jupiter in Cancer (June 23rd) and New Moon in Cancer (June 25th), these two events will bring a really amazing energy for manifestation, for manifesting something that is OVER-THE-TOP meaningful to you. The problem is that I really do not know any method, tool or practice for manifestation, I suppose when she talks about manifesting maybe she is refering to the law of attraction, but since I do not really think that the popular method of the book "the secret" work in a lot of cases, I come here to ask you people, If you really know more effective methods, rituals, practices for manifesting than the one of the book "the secret" where the law of attraction comes from. Thank you!

'Manifesting' is something of a dirty word in forums or subreddits about magic, and better not mention that airheaded NewAge variation on wishful thinking called the 'Law of Attraction' either, we'd like to think of ourselves as pretty serious about what we do and what we're interested in.

For some simple and effective practice, I recommend looking into sigil magic or candle burning magic (several books in our Library). The guys from the Gallery of Magick (Adam Blackthorne, Damon Brand, Gordon Winterfield, Zanna Blaise; all of their books are in our Library) also have some easily accessible books. If you want to go further down the rabbit hole, I suggest reading this thread.

The most effective method is the one you can get to work - the most arcane rituals and practices won't help you if you don't know how to perform them in the correct state of mind and the most powerful angels or demons won't be of any use to you if you don't know how to handle them.

Tl;dr: sigils, candles or GoM books if you don't want to spend years training and accumulating experience.

@HoldAll I bought before I entered this forum the book of GoM called: Secret Angel Magick, and the other book called The 72 angels of magick, in your opinion, which one of them is the most potent for starting attracting what I want in my life?. I think it is better to not work with the copies on internet specifically for the books of GoM, because GoM put a curse of make the magick ineffective if you work with a pirated copy of the books.

And what are the books you recommend the most for sigil magick and candle burning magick, thank you!!

The Anna Riva book is held in high regard I hear, but it's really up to you and which book really speaks to you.

Like I said, the most 'potent' magic is the one you get to work. Taking Damon Brand's books as an example, archangel magic is theoretically more 'potent' than mere angel magic because of the supposed celestial hierarchy but can you get his archangel book to work? Old-school methods that are theoretically more 'potent' but require years of meditation, breathwork, visualisation exercises, energy work, etc. are clearly unsuitable because of your astrological time constraints. It's never the robes, implements, words, gestures, herbs and whatnot that are decisive, it's your powers of concentration, your undivided attention, iron-hard will, the feeling of power rising your gut as well as absolute self-confidence (and I'm sure other members could list many more requirements) that are crucial, which is why I mentioned more accessible methods (as opposed to digging up graves in an ancient New Orleans cemetary for coffin nails and sacrifing a black rooster at a crossroads at midnight - just kidding )

Maybe you'd want to look into the astrological meaning of Damon Brand's Shem angels or construct some ritual taking account of astrology but that's a field I know nothing about (not a fan).

Great insight ... being the librarian, perhaps you could recmomend a book to me that handles the foundational requirements? Cocentration, strong will,, self-confidence etc... What you say makes sense, and I've noticed authors like Bardon seem to develop these traits in Initiation to Hermetics for example, but then get bogged down by their own flair. Same with Crowley in Book 4. Which authors/books would you say address the development of these faculties the best?

I suggest you open a dedicated thread in Book Discussion and Reviews with a Seeking Recommendation tag as such a question diverges from the content of your first post (though it's in line with the title of the thread) - not everybody believes in astrology, many may have stopped reading past your original but are always curious about new threads.
