The deity known as Lilith has been a quite heavily debated subject within the LHP as of recent. I would like to hear people's thoughts on who she is and what exactly she does. I personally have little experience with her; however, I am attempting at spiritual workings with her. Is she a Succubus like some people believe? A Vampiric entity? The bride of Lucifer? The true First Woman casted from the Garden of Eden for not entering the missionary position for Adam? I am truly curious.

As one of Grimoires describes Her:
"Lilith is Samael's Consort, Mistress of Depths and Worms, Queen of all the dead, which dwell in the abandoned houses and on river shores. She brings to this world the beasts of prey, who are hostile to man. She can be seen as beautiful naked woman with luxurious hair or old hag dressed in black. Lamias, murderers of children, obey Her."

Some associate Her with Gamaliel Sphere on Tree of Death, which is somewhat Anti-Yesod Sphere, or Sphere of Black Moon.

One of Her main Mysteries is Corruption of Blood. All blood diseases you can think of, and sepsis. She is also the Queen of all Nightmares, which are so frightening, that blood stills cold in veins.

Some mistake Her with Nahema. But Nahema is more about sterilization. Lilith and Nahema have in common that They can taint the mind, causing mind-numbing condition. And both of Them can cause all kinds of horrible veneric diseases.

Contacting with such entities assumes that you open yourself to all kind of aforementioned dangers (diseases). Ever read Meyrink "The Angel of the West Window" (it mentions quite a number of old legends)? It describes similar Demoness, Black Isais, who is quite similar to Lilith, and Her gift to Her followers is deadly wound, uncurable disease, horrible mark on the body, it was "silver shoe" in example with Her follower in that book.

You might better be dealing with some lower ranking Demons until you get some experience and know what you can expect. High ranking Demons and Demonesses are usually better be not be bothered unless you have some very serious reason to do that and you are ready to accept all the horrible consequences of such interaction.

My view of Lilith is unorthodox. At first I dreamed of her several times, and then I started to research. However, her first appearance was when I fell asleep in a cathedral, right next to the sarcophagus of one Christian saint. I was on a tourist visit and very tired from traveling, I allowed myself to rest a little, and then I dozed off. I was not aware that I was dreaming, but the dream was quite vivid and real. However, what is strange is that the woman who appeared and sat next to me did not introduce herself as Lilith, but as Cain. Somehow I automatically knew that it was Lilith, but she said "Cain." Since then, she has been Cain-Lilith for me, which, I admit, is incorrect in relation to historically based mythological and kabbalistic speculations and views. Cain in this sense is female, or rather Cain is Lilith, regardless of the fact that this character appears as male in the Bible. I am not saying that my experience is right or wrong. In this sense, I distinguish three types of Cain-Lilith phenomena: black, red and white, which is indicative (alchemical colors), since these are her forms that appeared in my dreams. In practical terms, my relationship with her is a form of exchange. She gave me something and took something from me. That "something" mine is sexual in nature. Whatever it is, I'm sure of one thing - she's perversely gentle and her "skin" smells like water and sand. However, take this testimony of mine with great reserve, because I may be crazy, I may be possessed by some kind of vampiric demonic force, and yet, I am still alive. I guess that says something.

I view her as the archetype of death. Of course my knowledge of her is very limited and may sound corrupted to those that honor her when i am making this assumption off of one symbol i seen in jewish mysticism with her wearing a rainbow garment which states simply that death mixes with all of life.

She also kind of reminds me of the hindu diety Kali although Kali seems to be a much more complex diety than Lilith is.

Women, in general, are complex.

A fictional character invented by rabbis a thousand years ago as a way to insert misogyny into the Genesis narrative, having no relation to any ancient demon or deity.

My personal experience with Lilith, when you invoke her enegies into you or your sphere, you'll experience a jump in your sexual libido, aura and perversion. She initiates through nightmares a lot, in trance vision work, she always give me gore type of visions, her energies incite chaos, rebellion, and sexual transgression. I'm halting my work with Lilith because she's very strong and tempting, considering myself an ascetic with rigorous self-discipline, she's way too strong; and it's not the path I'm aiming to, although I invoke her powers sometimes to test myself.
She sent her succubus to test me - attack me, and she's definitely a patron of vampirism, she taught me to invoke her and vampirise enemies together, I only used it once because the dark energy was very strong and felt my head is about to explode.
Of course this is my version of Lilith, not objective.

Pov : Even if the First Woman created in Garden of Eden myth is tempting, people need to remember this information comes from a satyrical/humoristic piece of middle age jewish litterature that also contains fart jokes...

Lillith is all the things you mentionned depending on the tradition/place/belief system.

If you wanna work with her, you need to select with "version" is the best for you.

The Gilgamesh Wild Female Spirit : in her original form, she was the opposite of Innana. Innana was the sophisticated goddess of "Eden" living in a palace while Lilith was the snake living in the trees

The Baby Killing Demon from Jewish Folklore : unless you are a jerk, i don't see the point of invoking her 🤣❤️

The Kabbalah version : in those traditions, she's linked to Samael and represent the darker side of feminity.

The Queen of Succubus from Medieval Grimoires : for obvious reason

The Luciferian Wiccan Goddess : she's the face of the Goddess

The Feminist Idol : the contemporary version of Lilith, Queen of Witches, Feminists etc

Honestly, I have avoided any workings with Lilith. My first and only encounter with Lilith was pathworking and contact with a list of daemons, Lilith being the first on the list. Once initial contact was made, I received images of a feminine desert spirit who killed babies and entrapped males.

Needless to say I had a much better experience with Asherah.

One night with a full moon, I fell asleep listening to Asmodai's Enn, and a loud horn sound woke me around 3:20 a.m. The first thing I saw was a beautiful woman, covered in strange writings on her skin, subtly changing fluorescent hues through the darkness. Her gaze, as she turned toward me, was vampiric, very serious. But the woman moved and walked not like any succubus seeking to seduce, but like a princess, her neck and head held high, her gait regal. Behind her, in the darkness, I slowly noticed a male figure watching. It was hard to focus on him and to shake off my disbelief at what my eyes were seeing. The armor with self-luminous details, very elaborate, though black. Higher up, I finally saw the King's dazzling gaze and a half-smile that was difficult to describe, as if pleased. It could be none other than Asmodeus. I never asked or invoked the woman who accompanied him. So I had to find out who it was, until I read that the King usually moves around accompanied by his consort and sometimes, a few other companions. At first, I assumed it was Lilith herself, but after reading other descriptions of Lilith and her preferred forms, I concluded it was Lilith Minor. She prefers to appear more as a maiden without monstrous forms. I'm not sure if Nahema is the same Lilith Minor, since in some myths, Nahema is Lilith's mother. In any case, they seem to have a very powerful energy. If you vibrate with hatred or revenge, they will amplify this energy thousands of times, and lust will also come with it. Although if you don't have a spirit with a strong temperament, the power of such feelings will ultimately weaken. I didn't make any offerings or make any connections, and after the episode, I haven't seen them again. Asmodeus is said to be patient and observant, and the fact that I haven't gone further with any promises, offerings, or rituals may be the reason for his silence. I am equally grateful to both of them for not taking on horrible forms. It is said that Lilith Minor shares many aspects with her mother in terms of handling energy drains, whatever the type. Some current feminists have Lilith as their emblem. And I suppose she inspires them with a sense of rebellion, and also a passion for energetically vampirizing as many men as possible. I notice that these women, so sexually liberal, end up developing psychological imbalances, deep emotional instabilities, and the need to suppress pain with stronger dopamine hits, whether through sexuality, alcohol, and almost compulsive partying. They also have an enormous capacity to destroy everything they love or those they claim to love, even abandoning their sons and daughters. It's strange, since Lilith (elder) is known for being protective of her own kind, especially her children. I suppose the animosity and problem is with human males. I don't know.

Regarding Lilith, this fragment of Peter Grey’s “The Red Goddess” was quite a revelation to me. Linguistics is my weak spot, and ever since I read it, I can’t unsee/unhear it:

“All of the names related to Lilith have a trilling fluttering sound like the call of an owl. This is the sound of the bird-like calls of the women you can still hear in lonely Moroccan villages. The easiest way to get in touch with this Goddess is by using her name as a mantra and let it echo out across the landscape Liliililliliililillilili........
It is about creating a good if somewhat eerie vibration and it brings her into our sphere. It is out here that Lilith has her dominion. She is not a Goddess of the city or civilisation.
In Sumerian ‘Lil’ means dust storm. What we would know as dust devils, the wild ghosts of the barren wilderness. If you have ever come across these you will know that they seem to be living intelligences rather than mere meteorological freaks. Similar spirits can be encountered on high mountain peaks skittering across the slopes. They are not the friendliest of elementals.” (page 57)

To me she is a devil who like any other first provides good results to practitioners before turning on them. Ive seen a few victims, offered help but they went to religion instead which only kept their problem at bay rather than solve it. Ive seen victims made into trans before ans she works through sexuality. Hard to say male or female but most of the time female.

Lilith is essentially the spawn or lead of succubus/bi even some half demons living as humans.

Primordial dark feminine.

Present in nature across universe. Celestial.

Attributed in my Cabala to shadow phase of Venus(as quality of an inferior planet) for subject to Higher Reason and balanced with light phase of Venus(Primordial light feminine Eve).
In culture combined with shadow phase of Moon(Hecate) while retaining Helios quality in sync.

To add, with Lucifer attributed as Mercury forms a trinity of shadow phases, for 'planets' as viewed from Earth.

I found a Leerie pathworking exercise for my qabalah that follows the path of lightning to light lamps in the shadows of Lucifer, Hecate, and Lilith to distinct correspondences to sounds in a minimal song.
They seem very apparent, so won't spoil the learning experience. It's a lot of fun if you want to be your own illuminary and trip a little light fantastic . 🎶𓋹 💃
It's also been effective for gaining momentum to reach Praesepe via Hecate for the Devil's Water.
