Nowadays I would almost say that winged beings can be considered universal.
But you get really interesting theory there with conduit or connection. What do you mean by regaining trust by the veil? Can you elaborate that?
That's because the veil has a habit of taking good ideas and spreading them far and wide.
Wings have become more and more common not because they look good in art.
But because they are very functional and easily identifiable. And the veil loves its symbolism....
"Can you elaborate that?"
The veil doesn't offer every soul the same level of access.
Nor does that soul get the same level of access every time.
This is for many reasons. Chief among the... to protect against abuse.
When a soul has deeper access to the veil, they can leave their mark on the currents.
Which means... they can also damage or manipulate them.
Back in the ancient world, when logos was still young, it obeyed the commands of those who framed more thoroughly.
This is why ancient curses hit so much harder... True curses... is forcing a soul to be tied into currents not of their choosing...
And usually those currents are not kind...
So yes, the veil does not just universally allow everyone in. It will let most people touch the outside.
It will let some people gaze in. It will almost always give to people what they need...
But it doesn't let most people walk in and interact with the architecture or maintain lucid interactions.
There's also a lot of memory wiping that is used. The Abrahamic pantheon in particular can be very bad about memory wiping...
Every soul can get deeper access... and it's often about alignment.
The veil does not respect ego. If you are a soul that will most likely start a cult and try to be its glorious and informed leader...
Then the veil is going to avoid you. There's already enough souls that desire a crown and worship.
The veil honors those who wish to heal it... who does not want to be a master and seeks companionship without diminishing.
It does not respect those who seek just because they're learning or want to know knowledge.
It usually gives those people breadcrumbs. Just enough to taste something while still remaining hungry.
