Witch Father / Witch Mother - Historical Accuracy?

[lesyia]

I keep seeing the concept of Witch Father and Witch Mother thrown around, especially in relation to traditional witchcraft. But where does this concept come from exactly? Is there a historical evidence for this?

Never heard of it until It saw a post here recently. I thought there was a High Priestess and Priest in a coven, the Devil in the form of some goat-like figure (master Leonard) but this seems very new "traditional lore".
