This journal will be my account of: 1. Learning the art of Geomancy, 2. How to conduct a reading, and 3. Daily readings and interpretation.

From "The Golden Dawn", "Book Eight - Divination", "Geomancy".
Four initial figures are drawn from the sixteen possible geomantic figures, of up to sixteen dots or dashes on four of four lines. On each line, it is calculated odd (dot) or even (two dots or an X). The nature of the question is to be formulated before dashing the lines, with a pentagram drawn in invoking form on a clean fresh sheet of paper, and the sigil of the angel/genii corresponding to the nature of the question marked in the center of the pentagram.
The sixteen rulers are in order:
Bartzabel - Mars - Aries
Kedemel - Venus - Taurus
Taphthartharath - Mercury - Gemini
Chashmodai - Luna - Cancer
Sorath - Sol - Leo
Taphthartharath - Mercury - Virgo
Kedemel - Venus - Libra
Bartzabel - Mars - Scorpio
Hismael - Jupiter - Sagittarius
Zazel - Saturn - Capricorn
Zazel - Saturn - Aquarius
Hismael - Jupiter - Pisces
Zazel and Bartzabel - Saturn and Mars - Cauda Draconis
Hismael and Kedemel - Jupiter and Venus - Caput Draconis
Sorath - Sol - Leo
Chashmodai - Luna - Cancer

The sixteen figures in order:
Fire - PUER
Earth - AMISSIO
Air - ALBUS
Water - POPULUS
Fire - FORTUNA MAJOR
Earth - CONJUNCTIO
Air - PUELLA
Water - RUBEUS
Fire - ACQUISITIO
Earth - CARCER
Air - TRISTITIA
Water - LAETITIA
Fire - CAUDA DRACONIS
Earth - CAPUT DRACONIS
Air - FORTUNA MINOR
Water - VIA

For each of these sixteen figures, there are meanings, and meanings within the twelve houses.

The Mothers are calculated and drawn first, then the Daughters, then the Judges, then the Witnesses/resultants.

The meanings of the twelve houses -
First (Ascendant) = Life, health, querent, etc
Second = Money, property, personal worth
Third = Brothers, sisters, news, short journeys etc
Fourth = Father, landed property, inheritance. The grave, end of the matter.
Fifth = Children, pleasure, feasts, speculation.
Sixth = Servants, sickness, uncles and aunts, small animals.
Seventh = Love, marriage, partnerships, associations, public enemies, lawsuits.
Eighth = Deaths, wills, legacies, pain, anxiety, Estate of deceased.
Ninth = Long Journeys, voyages, science, religion, art, visions, divinations.
Tenth = Mother. Rank and honour, trade or profession, authority, employment, worldly profession.
Eleventh = Friends, hopes and wishes.
Twelfth house = Sorrows, fears, punishments, enemies in secret, insitutions, dangers, restrictions.
From here the flat square or wheel chart are constructed and interpreted.
Planetary rulership, exaltation, fall, detriment and strength stand as they do in astrology.

So its basically a binary system. You make dots in the geomancy box sand or draw dots on a clean sheet of parchment, after drawing an invoking pentagram on the top of the parchment with the figure sigil of the planetary spirit in the center of the pentagram.
There are sixteen figures in geomancy, two zodiac signs per planet, and extra figures basically for lunar nodes.
So ...
Youve drawn sixteen lines of up to sixteen dots per line.
You have in order the four mother/the four daughters/the four witnesses (or nephews)/the four judges 9or reconcilers)
The binary system - if its sum of dots per line is even, you draw two horizontal dots or one horizontal dot if odd.
Once youve worked out the mother figures, from a sum of sots the daughters are derived, then similarly the witnesses and judges.
This is as far as Ive gotten to the point of casting a reading.

Brought Geomancy up in therapy today and explained how it works. At this point I am still memorizing material, and getting into chart construction, analysis comes last.
