I'm quite excited at the moment because I've just got a Sheridan-Douglas deck from Alfred Douglas's "The Tarot - The Origins, Meaning and Uses of the Cards"

I didn't know they were still being made, but I think Alfred Douglas is sending them out himself and has a garage full of them or something :)

They are the designs I learnt from - the artwork isn't fancy and it turns out the colours are a little garish, but it's great :)

I bought a perfectly sized polished wooden box to keep them in :)

It will always be the Thoth deck for me, I've used it since 1972. After that it's the Tarot de Marseille, particularly the Fournier recolored versions. Except for the vibrant Albano-Waite and the gold-foil Golden Art Nouveau, RWS decks are far down my list of favorites. As a one-time graphic artist, I tend to like bright and bold.

I'm new to Tarot and so I've tried to go with older decks in the hope I'm starting with something more "basic".

I love the symbolism and art style of the Smith-Ryder-Waite deck.

I've found myself really drawn to the simpler, more emotional imagery of the the Liguria-Piedmontese Tarot (Espanola Tarot).

I love this question! I think that every tarot deck has its purpose and I even have a few oracle decks that have become honorable mentions here.
I love the Fountain Tarot. Beautiful design, the cards I find a bit harsh at first but you will get use to the criticism and it will help you in spell work even when I don’t want them to be these cards are always right!
The New Vision Tarot is a twist on the classics RWS images and shows you the opposite side of the original image. I find these cards to be very fair.
For a silly deck Every little thing you do is magic, is so nice it is very beginner friendly so using this as a deck for public readings is great very gentle with the message but lots of truth and awesome with little details.

I have some decks that are kind of just for show like the Colour Tarot and the Death Doula Oracle deck but they also seem to be very tuned in.

runner up for this crowd is the Citadel Oracle deck which is so much fun and paints a lovely story everytime!
