Hello everyone, hope you are doing good.

I am trying to find some reliable source of information regarding the origin of Yule, not only YT videos where people can say what they read in some article.. Is there a book or a valid source where I can read more about this so that I can truly understand what Yule is about?

I am unsure when people use Christmas in the name because as far as I heard (maybe I am wrong), Christmas is a mask for older, pagan holidays. But i will look into it. Thank you, sir.

The Stations of the Sun: A History of the Ritual Year in Britain by Ronald Hutton has a chapter on Christmas and its conflation with Yule. It's hard to find good historical data on this, as Christianity brought writing, and thus historical records, to the British Isles. Hutton gives a good overview, though.
