Why are the majority of people so obsessed with tattoos nowadays? Its seen that everyone have or wants to have a tattoo nowadays, especially women. Find a woman with no tattoos nowadays, is the same as find a 4 leaf clover. When this tattoo "craze" ends, those who invested in laser removal will profit big.

On one way I agree, because it can be a problem especially with the tattoo you turn to hate. And there are some

There are multiple problems with overuse of tattoo nowadays:
  • People want to be special - when on social network, you don't interact with dozens, but billions of people who are your competition in popularity. So people seek how to become unique.
  • Self-worth - short time self-worth can come from tattoo, raise of self-esteem given by it is not really helping
  • Addiction - getting a tattoo is addictive experience. I can tell, I have one, the piercing of your skin is intense on your nerve system, first it hurts, then you start enjoying it.
There is also the issue of deep rotted tribalism. Perhaps we have something in ourselves from ancient times, because people are doing tattoo for thousands of years. Tattoos were uncovered on Egyptian mummies. And since native tribes also do tattoo, it might be with humanity perhaps since somewhere from stone age... maybe rather iron age, but even the most primitive tribes are able to make some sort of needle to pierce skin and ink that won't poison you.

In native tribes tattoo are serving as social symbols of status. Easy to imagine that it was so as long as people do tattoo. Perhaps nowadays people subconsciously follow the same pattern.

However I agree that it is overused, poorly used and usually not deserved, only sought after. However for tattoo craze to end the society needs to change. And you won't live long enough so I suppose you will have to find a woman with tattoo you can accept.

Perhaps it is just another symptom of current state of our society...

I don't see tattooing falling out of style any time soon, personally. The practice is as old as humanity itself. I myself have a few. It's not for everyone, that's for sure, but I'm not concerned with what folks decided to do with their skin. It is on their own body, not mine, after all, regardless of whether it ages well or not.

By the way, If my mention of ancient tattoos piques your interest, there was a 1993 discovery of a mummified woman in Siberia whose tattoos are remarkably well preserved. The designs are fascinating in my opinion.

They’re not going to remove their tattoos. And most of the women at adult dance clubs look like billboards or stick-on decals. You’re right—if you find a hottie without a tattoo, you’ve found a four-leaf clover.

Hottie without Tattoo, You need to look among more extreme Christian cults, Muslims or other religions, where it is a sin. But if you deconstruct the girl, I fear she might soon visit tattoo studio to explore her newfound freedom.

I have a bit of an ambivalent relationship to tattoos, wanted to become tattooer until I was pressed into societal norms when I was young,
when I was free enough to go for it my artistic vision surpassed the possibilities of this old medium that could be a very beautiful form of expression if it wasn't for the influence of social engineering that ruins close to everything nowadays.

I guess it's more about the self degrading, self objectifying pseudo self empowerment when you critisize the tattoos?

There are biological tendencies in the genders that stem from evolutional necessities - Women have to fit in or they die -
so when you combine all the power that lies inside media and politics and burn it into the retina of mold-able young girls,
then hammer in whatever you desire, best it fits into other biological tendencies like care and empathy - then you customize the algorithms on all they want and do - you end up with anarcho tyranny full of outlawed hoes that don't know what they are doing of some sorts - over empathetic non logical wishful thinking policies create more of the problems they love to cry about to feel important - or better to replace the natural tendency of the need to care for something as they gatekeep birth - yeah, idk the whole small tattoos hype is just so they feel edgy and cool without true commitment, as little tattoos don't require a deep connection or big thoughts about them, same thing for relationships for them until they hit the wall of infertility most of the time.

Man fuck modernity, tattoos used to rock, it still had something left of it when i still wanted to be a tattooer, before it was completely accepted in a way.

There is true art out there & i still sometimes love my girls with split tongues and big blackout tattoos - i somehow can respect these DESCISIONS ffs, at least they dare to decide for one thing and do not fake all their life like the other 75% of wannabe golddiggers with high standards in their 2$ shein dresses, smelling like cancerous vape fluids and white monster energy drinks, grimacing weird faces into the camera openly mocking you and celebrating the demise of a world built with strength beyong their comprehension.

I guess i can respect the real ones that don't purely do it out of social media reasons and it girl - we gonna throw a pyjama party for the top 1% bois kinda girls that end up with megalomaniac standards that no top 1% guy will ever fulfill because they are no wife material.

The whole circus will soon end as the liberal age is dying of exitotoxicity, the illiberal pre modern hateful rest of the world is standing behind the couch like the 6 black dudes behind the blonde dumb smiling privileged suicidal solipsistic hedonistic end personified - the western woman of today.

I feel like an apology a little bit, although i do not lie this is no place to blow off steam and ragepost something on a topic that could be discussed in a way more neutral form. We have the controversy forum for that. It's written from an 'old pityful me' perspective, that is still attached to the dark little golden cage called the west.

I don’t think people are obsessed with tattoos. I think they’re just expressing something, either something they find artistic or something that means a lot to them. I’m always curious about other people’s tattoos, and they’re a great conversation starter. You can learn a lot about someone through their tattoos. And I also see plenty of women who don’t have any tattoos at all.

Tattoos are Taboo in Judaism. I'm free of them, therefore. I have tattoos in my soul, that none can see.

Do you maybe have a little explanation on the rule of not marking the body, or some advice on where to read about it? I mean we all of course can read many things and find many things with AI, but if you feel like it please enlighten us further.
I also read about our spiritual connections being visible in the subtle realms, one time heard about it being visible similar to tattoos.

The prohibition of tattoos is standard Jewish law, known to all. I did not read it in AI, I lived it.

That my soul has tattoos, we all carry the imprints of our life, the scars of which are there for those who have the eyes to see.

I've never felt the need to have tattoos.
I did like the guy who said "You should definitely hire people with tattoos; sitting motionless whilst being jabbed with needles sounds like every work meeting I've ever been in."

Nah, they are obsessed with tattoos. Majority of them dont want to express shit, they just want to get the most popular/cool looking tattoo in order to flex around
