Water—The Basic Remedy
The first effort in prevention of influence while asleep is to provide a vessel for the reception of energy from the influence. This can be accomplished by adopting a nightly ritual known as sleeping with water. This ritual is so basic that many have done it from childhood without having any conscious knowledge of why it is done.
Immediately before retiring for the night, fill a glass with water and place it at the head of your bed, so that it will be beside you when you sleep. This glass of water is not drinking water—it is there to catch all the energy you don't want around you. This glass should never be used for drinking water.
In the morning, empty the water in the toilet and rinse out the glass three times, pouring the water used to rinse it into the toilet as well. When you flush it down, you are flushing away what was in the glass.
Repeat this ritual every night, and you will find that much of the difficulty attaining good sleep disappears. If you feel that your sleep is still troubled at times, you might add a few bits of camphor to the water every night. A piece as large as a wooden match-head will do as well as any larger amount. More doesn't necessarily work better.
The energy released by the dispersion of the camphor will assist in the dissipation of any thought forms. It really makes no difference which hand you use to draw the water to fill your glass every night, but in the morning you should take the glass in your anti-dexter hand. (This is opposite to the hand you write with. If you are right-handed, your anti-dexter hand is your left.) By using this hand and following this procedure, you are stressing the symbolism of refusing to take back that which the water has collected during the night.
