Hella blurry but here's the 3 of pentacles reversed. Makes even less sense to me than the interpretation I looked at.

Today I pulled the hanged man upright which is always weird because he's upside down when the card is upright.

The interpretation (which I didn't include a photo of bc it's on two pages) is: a need for direction, for understanding, reaching for those things. Querent may be knowledgeable, but not able to put that knowledge to use.

Oh, I feel that.

Oh shit. Because I had one of the worst migraines I've had in my life (still do) and completely spaced on what I was looking at! Now I have to see what the 3 means lol
Ahhh, hope you're feeling better now.

I love it too. Its the Goetia Tarot in Darkness deck. Artworks done by the same guy that did the Santa Muerte Deck. I think his name is Fabio Listrani. I wish I got the chance to get one his limited edition kickstarter decks. They were really something special.

All I'm really thinking about today is the car so I asked the cards a yes or no. Will they be able to fix the car? I feel like the cards called me a dumbass.

Eight of Cups
Interpretation: Emotion with thought - common sense, logic prevails. Mind and heart are in accord.

It's The Witches Tarot by Ellen Cannon Reed and Martin Cannon.
Dang it doesn't ship to my location on amazon.

In the process of buying some hardcovers and wanted to throw in a tarot + oracle deck for funsies.

Oh that sucks! It's a good deck. We bought it from the metaphysical store we got married in almost 20 years ago, so I don't even know where else you'd find it.

Today's card was the Ace of Cups upright. Interpretation: A new way of feeling--beginning of emotion. Intuition. Inspiration.

I don’t like reading for myself

I prefer reading for others, your feelings can interfere with your own readings

Today's request: Tell me what I need to know.

Today's card:

Xje9FXK.jpg

Eight of Pentacles reversed.
Interpretation: Mind can have negative effect on body (i.e. ulcers, tension headaches, etc.) Foolishness.

Oh, I embody everything about that interpretation.

The Hanged Man today. Definitely need to learn more about the subject I asked about before proceeding, so it's appropriate.

I asked what to expect from the new year, and got King of Pentacles and The Stars upright. Remember, in this deck, court cards are modifiers of the other cards.

aNxZk7O.jpg

Interpretations:
King of Pentacles: That which is represented by card modified is at the stage of creative urge. Since Earth denotes the physical, this could denote possible pregnancy (NO. Abso-fucking-lutely not. Thank FUCK my tubes are tied.), but not one that is current. It is more a matter of the child being a "gleam in his father's eye." Other physical "births" can be represented by the card--anything that can manifest on the physical has become possible.
XVII The Stars: Inspiration, creative energy, creative ideas come. You know what you want to say, to create. The energy of motion is added to your magic.

One of the days I pulled and didn't post, the cards told me I should pursue a career in a creative field. That's always been the plan, but I haven't found any one thing I'm passionate about. I am definitely thinking about it pretty much every day (King of Pentacles). Following up the King with The Stars seems to suggest I'm going to be able to narrow it down and get started. I'm in, Universe. Let's do it.

Today's question was "am I on the right track?" I pulled Princess of Pentacles, Queen of Cups, and IX The Seeker, all reversed. I feel like this pull proves that reverse meanings aren't always negative.

Vf39erq.jpg

Princess of Pentacles: The end of the Journey has not been reached. It may be necessary to continue.
Queen of Cups: The feelings have not yet come to be, or are not turning out as things seen.
The Seeker: Light comes. A teacher is found. Querent receives light, learns.

From where I sit, I'd say this says, "you're getting there." I think the "teacher" is whatever is leading me rn. Is it my ADHD following the dopamine, an ancestor or guide trying to show me the way, some outside force I haven't met yet, or just myself? Probably a question for next time.

I initially replied to this by quoting a shitty response the poster left on one of Incog's posts bc I'm petty af sometimes. My bad. Here's a real response:

Tarot is a tool that is used many different ways by many different people. Literally every reader I know pulls for themselves to get a little insight, or focus their mind, or help them make a decision. Obviously, your emotions are going to factor into how you read the cards if you're inquiring about something serious in your life, and if you're worried that your emotions will affect how you interpret them, by all means, seek out someone you trust to read for you. But I believe that the cards fall as their supposed to regardless of my personal feelings. If they're guided by anything, it is something outside of me, and it's up to me to figure out the message once the cards fall where they were supposed to.

As for this particular exercise, I'm not doing this for any serious insight, which is why I've pulled without asking questions, and most of the questions I have asked have been surface level questions that have no real impact on my life. As I explained in the OP, I'm doing these to help myself internalize the meanings of the cards bc I've been "learning tarot" for decades and I can't make them stick. Some people would take this as a sign that it's just not for them, but I'm a stubborn ram, so I plan to keep bashing my head into that wall until it falls down. And the cards seem to be okay with that bc my readings are pretty much always on point, even if I do have to look up the meanings every time.
