I understand the concept of theurgy, and I want to work with djinn without dipping in shirk. What would you recommend I do?

From my perspective, a lot of the books seem to delve into shirk. I just started reading shams al maarif, and the picatrix, so I am not so sure on whether they are as well. Can someone perhaps guide me in the right path, and tell me what path I should perhaps be taking if I want to work with djinn, and simply just communicate with them?

I would start off by memorizing the important Quran verses for clearing and some protection. Chapters 113-114 then 112 which is good and short. Then the ayatul kursi verse which is a bit hard to memorize and might take a while. It took me a while to memorize it. Al fatiha as well, does not hurt to know how the prayer cycles work.

For a much safer approach I would not bother with some really dark jinn books because it could give really bad issues.
The best options would be to start off exercising with the dhikrs and the verses. You have to increase your capacity, endurance, abilities to take in and process more energy. Because without any prior experience doing some of the recitation rituals would be too overwhelming. It might sound easy but when you process a very hot text for hours at once it can really fry your mind. At first maybe not because perhaps the openness is not so high but it will rapidly start increasing and then it feels like sun right above you, frying and cooking your mind, chakras.

The easiest options to get something to show up one way or another, either feel it, sense it, be able to have some type of a conversation through mind or via dreams, plus get benefits, would be to do rituals like reading "la ilaha illallah 70000x in a few days or a week, rate is 2000-6000/hour. Then continue, go for 1250000.

Then there's the "la ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz zalimin" which is read 125000x.

The chapter 112 is used for rituals, Ahmad Wahid - The Book of The Servant, I think it is available over here. I could be wrong but I think there are a few rituals in there about the chapter 112, the one I mentioned in your other post, 1000x+ something times + something else that must be read. There's also the grand ritual with the chapter 112 where it is recited 100K times, this one is not in the book. It would give a strong connection and something will show up.

With the salawats it works well too, have to be read a lot for good effects and results.
Allahumma salli ala Muhammad
Allahumma salli `ala Muhammadin wa `ala aali Muhammadin wa sallim
Allahumma salli `ala Muhammadin wa `ala aali Muhammadin wa sahhibi wa sallim

When you get more used to the energy and the effects you could work with these 2 texts
Bahr, and special dua kursi, which have much stronger energy and effects and should be avoided at first, these are very hot. With enough exercising for a few months you might be able to use them better.

These are safe links, they are sufi order websites, directly to the 2 PDF's. Both are short.

With these methods you will get results, strong spiritual experiences, feel the openness increasing and great spiritual states. At some point something will show up as well.(y)

If you have absolutely no experience with anything like this then be cautious not to completely overload your mind. Better to start from less recitations and then over time add more. It does not exactly happen overnight, like in a gym you should not do the hardest exercises right away.

both islam and christianity have a rule about not working with other beings including angels themselves. So working with djinn is indeed shirk as you claim. Basically you cannot ask another entity for help.

Its a hard rule if i remember right its in the quran itself but the practice of working with djinn is an old arabic culture that came before islam and has stuck around for a while due to its miracle success.

Is it shirk if you do this just because you're curious, to help you with your faith having an actual unseen inhabitant in front of you, and don't plan to worship them or makes parthners with God with them? Just maybe talk, and get to know them?

I understand there are fatwas that don't allow it, and then there are fatwas that do allow asking Djinn for things deemed permissible.

Would this be considered Theurgy? Also, from what I seem to have gathered from the Ahmad Wahid Book, The Guardian of the Yasin verse might be easiest, from what the book says, the entity this calls is not a Djinn, and all it takes is 7 days of fasting, and some other stuff.

Have you found success using this ritual?

There are jinn according to the Quran that also worship god. I doubt god would genuinely care if you talked to them specifically. Especially since you just want to talk.

However, I am the type to talk to and interact with any spirit I meet or have a desire to know and learn from. I do this because I think it’s important not to form an opinion on something without experiencing it yourself. I do accept that my take has its own dangers but in my practice I have found those risk to be worth taking and am glad that I have talked to jinn without using religious protections that can offend then. Obviously the jinns I speak with don’t worship Allah but follow Iblis.

As for helping you find the right path only you can define that. For you I would advise you take a path that aligns with your religious or spiritual beliefs. Whatever those might be. That’s important because if you don’t your own psychological turmoil could affect or jade your experience in a negative way and you don’t want that. For example if one was Muslim they might want to look at Quran.com, Myislam.org, islamqa.info, and Sikhphilosophy.net which all discuss jinn from a religious perspective and might be of use. Now they aren’t going to tell anyone how to summon or talk to them. But they will discuss what they are, their religious perspectives on their nature, and Allah’s thoughts on them according to religious teachers and holy books. For yourself I advise looking into pre-Islamic folklore, myths, and beliefs and see what you think about them also before going forward.

for me personally my interactions with them are more organic and leave out all religious protections or bindings used traditionally because those things are not something I use since I do not practice that faith nor do I believe jinn are all evil. My practice is based on pre-Islamic folklore and mythology as well as Arabic and Islamic folklore that I remove biases from and test to see what is or isn’t true before applying it to my practice. In my practice I try to honor the Jinn rulers and Iblis as they are the ones whose authority other jinn are going to recognize and respect. I use obsidian mirrors, an obsidian bowl with water in it, sand painting, crystals, incense/bukhoor/candles/oil lamps/fires, scorpions/snakes/lizards/toads, a wolf bone whistle for banishing malevolent ones (it stays hidden and only comes out for that purpose or when they aren’t around, spiced camel milk for offerings, flower petals (roses/jasmine/poppy/saffron/oleander/etc), prickly pear cactus water (native to America they are in the Middle East now and used for boundaries), a Hyena skull, henna, music, trance dancing, arrow head divination/fire divination/and water divination, some other things🦇✨

Love the conversation. I have never worked in an Islamic framework so this is a treat for me.

when you process a very hot text for hours at once it can really fry your mind.

Totally! Does Ruhaniyyat have any practices to restore humoral balance after hot practices, or interacting with hot spirits. ? Baths? Asperging?

In Brujeria yellow bile, the 'choleric' humor is hot and dry and the brujo/a can be restored to balance and avoid sickness with cooling substances like rose, violet, or cucumber. Verum has the three herbs built in for this: mint, sweet marjoram, and rosemary.

And sorry here with a small niggle.
The Catholic Church actually encourages devotion to angels, and does not prohibit it. Look at all the many feast days, chaplets, prayers, candles, and novenas. I do not know if this translates to other magical cultures, but dulia is the honor given to saints and angels which is distinct from latria , which is worship/adoration reserved for God alone.
