Project Hail Mary 🪨👎

The dry humour of Stratt doesn't get enough credit in reviews.
It's too bad the film weakens her character by inserting a belief in God, but thankfully it's a brief defamation and not a recurring element that completely ruins the film.
The way the actress in interviews describes the quiet confidence of those with real power comes through in her performance.

The 2014 remake of Robocop. It was oddly prescient, but perhaps not in an Idiocracy way. Always a pleasure to watch Gary Oldman.

Greenland 1 & 2

The first was one of those movies where the main characters want the rules followed when it benefits them and don't when it doesn't. They make terrible decisions constantly. As a lesson to consider in mitigating that behavior it was good enough for the spectacular backdrop.

The second was similar.

If I remember correctly, it was either The Covenant(2006) or a documentary in Brazilian Portuguese about an extreme religious group called "Arautos do Evangelho(lit. trans. Heralds of the Gospel/Gospel's Heralds)".
