Do I absolutely have to recite the spells from New Avatar Power while standing and out loud? I know there are some that are done while lying down or sitting, but I think that’s the only exception. I can’t recite spells out loud in my current situation.

No, standing isn't necessary for the main New Avatar Power Ritual and any spells that are intended to follow it. You don't need to say them in a loud voice. In fact you're supposed to be quite relaxed in a comfortable chair or laying down.

That said, there is the author's "Uncrossing Ritual" in chapter 3 which I would recommend you stand up to do. It only takes a couple of minutes and can be done discretely in a quiet voice.

Oh, well, since it’s essentially a tool-free version of ceremonial magick, I’ve said them out loud and while standing still whenever I could. The only question I still have is: Can I recite the spells in my mind, or do I absolutely have to do it physically? I mean, whispering them.
