Do I absolutely have to recite the spells from New Avatar Power while standing and out loud? I know there are some that are done while lying down or sitting, but I think that’s the only exception. I can’t recite spells out loud in my current situation.

No, standing isn't necessary for the main New Avatar Power Ritual and any spells that are intended to follow it. You don't need to say them in a loud voice. In fact you're supposed to be quite relaxed in a comfortable chair or laying down.

That said, there is the author's "Uncrossing Ritual" in chapter 3 which I would recommend you stand up to do. It only takes a couple of minutes and can be done discretely in a quiet voice.

Oh, well, since it’s essentially a tool-free version of ceremonial magick, I’ve said them out loud and while standing still whenever I could. The only question I still have is: Can I recite the spells in my mind, or do I absolutely have to do it physically? I mean, whispering them.

I have not used this method, but I did do the Chant for Success (to Elubatel) from The Miracle of New Avatar Power to find physical copies of that same book for a much lower price than the original out of print versions typically went for several years ago.

Oh, Brother Moloch had mentioned NAP in his blog too. I've checked it before, but I could never be sure of the ritual order there. First there seems to be this trance like stage, and then there are various mini rituals based on the goal of the person. But there were also other rituals in the book that involved middle pillar like exercises too, and I was confused: is it a step prior to the actual ritual for the goal, or does it need to be handled separately?

The other rituals in the book are completely optional. I remember Brother Moloch had a whole order listed of how to incorporate the middle pillar (called Central Pillar in NAP) and other rituals into it because the book author doesn't explain as well what order to put everything in, but having done both the shorter version of ritual steps vs the longer, I saw no difference at all in magical results. Pretty much the only thing I do from NAP is the information that is shared in chapters 1 and 2 of the book. 1.) The New Avatar Power Ritual (the relaxation ritual), 2.) my selected chant( or invocation (the mini ritual), 3.) the "coming back" (which takes seconds.) I think the rest of the stuff in the book is great if you are looking to develop a deeper magical practice, but I mostly just use NAP for results magic as I am already have my own magical practice in ceremonial magic and other types of magic. You could literally stop reading the book after chapter 2 and you'd be perfectly fine just using what you learned in those first two chapters.

The one thing I did incorporate that I think originated with Brother Moloch is that whatever ritual I choose from NAP, I almost always follow it by the Chant for Success to Elubatel. Then I do the closing. Also, I do follow Geoff Gray-Cobb's instructions in the book to record your work in a journal. I journal all my NAP rituals in a separate journal so I can easily go through it and make notes about what worked and what didn't. I also work out my ritual intention in that journal beforehand and might make adaptions to the text of the rituals themselves.
