I've been watching videos with repeated tunneling patterns where you attempt to slow down or speed up your perception of time. Has anyone else done anything like this? Do you have any tips to help? One thing you can do is fast forward the video and then try and slow it down with your mind.

Never tried that this way. I get enough of time when bored. When you are bored, you experience every minute really long. And if you want to speed up, just do stuff that makes time fly-by...

Just stopping all distractions and being in the present moment slows time enough.

I'll tell you when sure-fire way to change your perception of time: meditation.
Weekly practise sitting still and emptying your mind for more than 20 mins at a time, up to an hour , makes mundane time doing tasks fly the hell by. Your brain learns to slow down and process things at it's own pace, so you can kind of get lost in the moment, no matter what you are doing. Which makes the time fly away.

Somehow it's Friday already.

Also, aging helps.
Somehow after 40 it's like each week is 3 or 4 days long.
So there's that too, LOL.

Adding also that meditation makes you really good at spacing out too. lol
So its kind of like a time speed or slow down tool depending .

I want to be able to speed up and slow down my perception of time at a moment's notice. Slowing down will allow you to get more done in a shorter amount of time when it matters. Speeding up will allow you to get through boring moments without getting fatigued. The mind is AI and can just do that.

I am still going to say, 'meditate'
Start with simple breath meditation, focussing on the now/moment. Then slowly work on emptying mind.
This will enable you after a few months to take each moment as if it contained many more 'bits' of time since you are clearer, and moving faster.

And um, no...the mind is not 'AI' . .. Not only is it not Artificial, , 'AI' is not even real artificial intelligence, so saying that is an insult to mankind.
The human mind is a collection of patterns, energetic storage, data/memories, ego, subconscious, imagination, creativity, creation and also a receiver from a higher consciousness outside of the brain. Calling it AI is really something else.

I don't buy that it works that way. Time is a constant on the physical plane. the way we perceive it is that relative part. The effectivity of your usage of time is based on how you use it, not about how fast the time flows.

About time being constant, well we might have human-made ways to measure it, but that simply allows us to measure it. And we are really good at it nowadays.

There is theory that perceptions shape reality; by altering your perception you can affect reality. This may be easier than you think since there aren't many real perceptions out there. Only you really matter, everyone else is an AI replica.

So you say that by this theory no one else matters, only you. As long as you depend on others, such theory feels off the table of real possibilities.

You can affect reality, even by changing perception, that is known, because when you change perception, you change your behavior which causes the world to start reacting different. There is nothing special about that.
