Orbis Mystica states that 'pirated magic books are a curse' in his book 'Nitika'. I wonder how true this could be and if its a case of that being true, does this mean we're all cursed?

Also see this thread on the GoM's cursed books:

As far as I know, Geoffrey Gray-Cobb of blessed memory was the first who mentioned Nitika in his NAP book in the early 1970ies, so that Orbis Mystica guy really has some cheek to put a copyright on that spirit.

There's a scholarly book on book curses somewhere, they've been around for centuries, and before that authors often added a curse to their manuscripts to prevent scribes indulging in creative editing (which never worked).

The mighty Orbis Mystica has published about 27 books this year, which is a clear sign of AI. Can AI curse you?

Also, I'm fairly certain that Eliphas Levi gets credit for the spirit list associated with the Nuctemeron, including Nitika, although, GGC was the first to popularize her by providing a modern method of working with her.

Thanks. I actually got it mixed up with a Damon Brand book 'Financial Transformation'.

Going by what you've got here, sounds like its just scare tactics
