Well, as a non denominational Chrisitian, to be a true disciple, you have to be willing to live for the Lord (Jesus Christ). Other religions may vary. Krishna is called Lord. LORD in Hebrew was typically YHVH or El. Once Jah is mentioned, which the Rastifarians still worship.
Its hard to say really. It depends on your own religion and the willingness to recognize others and coexist peacefully.
The point is to contribute to helping the entire human race, realizing half are deaf and blind, spiritually speaking. That is, if I get to see and hear spiritually.
Example: A story of a wicked magician is told, where he basically did parlor tricks, tarot readings and held an evocation in front of his guests, one if which was a priest. This cannot stand, Evil should not be allowed to reign in the physical world.
But, if no other magicians these days confront and reject evil, then, well Im screwed and would have to continue to be me regardless.
I dont get it. Maybe because I dont want to be a world tyrant.
Here is a real world example. I live in a rough area of town, as it is mostly abandoned by the economy, the last stragglers holding on have gathered clientele of sorts. There are rougher areas I dont tread. One example is a block away where most people roll with 9mm handguns and or shotguns. Walking into the wrong apartment is a very wrong idea for you.
One area of my old town was the west side near the airport and auto plants, a a working class neighborhood. When the movie "Colors" came out in the 1980's, that neighborhood went Crip. All other areas are Blood. So, they are at an automatic disadvantage. New folks in my life were Crips, one of which learned about that side of town from me, and he was from the East coast. That area is now 10x tougher since they got schooled.
So, some of us have to go ground up, not sky down. The hope is to meet somewhere in the middle and then deal with the left-right hemispheres. The ground is not always rough, but we war not just without but within as well. The human race has always been tribal.
War is not the only prime goal my conception of God has for us all, my belief is that we can have non-chaotic, not-harmful lives. I am hard headed which makes for a sore behind. Nonetheless, there are several rules many religions agree on:
1. To be pure
2. To not murder
3. To not rape
4. To not have idols
5. To not cheat
6. To not lie
