Edgar Cayce (1877–1945) was an American mystic often called the “Sleeping Prophet.” While in a trance-like sleep state, he delivered thousands of readings on health, spirituality, reincarnation, and the purpose of human life, despite having no formal training.

A key concept in his work is the Akashic Records, which Cayce described as a universal field of information containing the experiences, thoughts, and spiritual history of every soul. According to him, these records can be accessed through heightened states of consciousness and spiritual alignment, offering insight into past lives, karma, and life lessons.

Cayce’s legacy continues to influence modern spiritual and metaphysical teachings.
If any of you have read his readings or have personal experiences with the Akashic Records, it would be great to hear your thoughts!

The concept of Akashic records seems to be useful. Though I've heard that this Prophet has been debunked.

Personally, I believe that there may be a form of collective consciousness that one can access, perhaps through trance states or deep meditation. As for Cayce’s prophecies, I think there can be different interpretations. While not everything should be taken literally, some of his reflections on Atlantis are certainly interesting and worth further contemplation.

Literal meaning is tricky, the term is not same as what it means, especially when we talk spiritual. Understanding the term is based on your knowledge. It is always interpretation. So even what you read you can only understand as far as your current knowledge allows you.

So until you experience it, you probably don't understand it right. Once you do, you'll understand the joke of literal meaning.

As I mentioned in another thread, Near Death Experiences can sometimes allow you to access every possible moment from every possible viewpoint, so it seems to me that Edgar would have to be in an extremely deep trance to do this.
