Edgar Cayce (1877–1945) was an American mystic often called the “Sleeping Prophet.” While in a trance-like sleep state, he delivered thousands of readings on health, spirituality, reincarnation, and the purpose of human life, despite having no formal training.
A key concept in his work is the Akashic Records, which Cayce described as a universal field of information containing the experiences, thoughts, and spiritual history of every soul. According to him, these records can be accessed through heightened states of consciousness and spiritual alignment, offering insight into past lives, karma, and life lessons.
Cayce’s legacy continues to influence modern spiritual and metaphysical teachings.
If any of you have read his readings or have personal experiences with the Akashic Records, it would be great to hear your thoughts!
I have read everything Cayce put out there, and most of those by people who have compiled some of the readings on specific subjects.
I even proposed that many of the reincarnation memories people claim are actually people tapping into the Akashic records while sleeping. The experiences encased in these feel real, you get submerged into the memory, with feelings, and it feels like it is your own. So I can see how some people might think it was their own past life.
Even Prof. Persinger noted that we all appear to be synchronizing to something when we sleep, and thought that we might be storing things in the Earth's natural electromagnetic field. Like a giant Hive Mind hard drive.
The problem with the Akashic record, in my opinion, is that it doesn't differentiate between imaginary, dream, fiction story, insanity, or reality. It is just a mess of stuff, and a lot of it has nothing to do with real things. Some of the things hovering there still appear very interactive, as a way of communicating the information perhaps? So, somebody ends up with imaginary alien intelligence communicating, and then you get a bunch of trance people communicating with the same thing. Yet, this thing doesn't really share anything that advances technology, or medical help, or anything else of actual value. Just a bunch of stuff, mostly garbage and useless.
Of interest to me, was that Cayce was able to visit people, likely in some AP format, and diagnose them. He even came up with medical treatments, like the burn bandage, that were accepted and used by medical professionals at the time. So a lot of what he said was useful.
So whatever he was doing was above and beyond the information of the Akashic records.
Sean Harribance could likely read the Akashic records. He would 'call down' an angel and look at a picture of people he didn't know, and he could tell you details of their lives that was incredibly accurate. He passed away recently, but I did get the chance to correspond with him before then. Sean, like many people with skills, had a brain anomaly that destroyed his internal GPS system, so he could be a few blocks out of sight of his home in Texas and become lost, even though he lived there for the past 10 years. But, his angel is a great example of the interactive nature of the Akashic records. The angels were likely not real, since the information wasn't always correct. And in brain scans, you can see the correct vs. incorrect information were different brain functions, yet he couldn't tell the difference himself.
So, a very interesting way to tap into the right brain systems of information flow.
The same systems of altered states and altered brain function have been measured in Mediums, and in dowsing, when the information is correct.
So, whatever method you use to access things with, the results are never 100%.
