Hello again everyone, I'm interested in any experience working with any of the demons described in Ars Goetia. Have any of you done this? Which spirit is better for a beginner to work with first?

Hello! Question! Why would you want to work with such old entities? A clear motive/goal is how one starts establishing the connection with those high energy beings!

I would recommend you finding out first your motivation behind your interest. Yeah, some of the demon described in the Lemegeton are really powerful and can potentially influence your dimension. That is why you should be careful when invoking them. Any other options? for invocation without so many rituals, offerings and etc ? Of course there are! You could contact an old entity through admirable talents. For example, if you are good with Tarot, astrology, pyromancy and ect. You could potentially attract a supra-knowledgeable entity to be your tutor.

Wow, interesting. I've read and heard that anyone who wants to summon a demon needs to use a special material to make the seal. For example, for kings - gold, etc. Did you do something special or the same? Can you tell how exactly your awakening and evoking was and i'm curious if you are still working with them?

Have you managed to summon any of supernatural yourself, just curious?

Yes. I managed to summon a supernatural being, by accident during a study session. I was diving into the astrology of a random person, then, I heard this voice telling things i was not looking for but, it deepened my understanding of the stars. According to my understanding, some entities can get curious about what you are doing, if what you are doing is in their jurisdiction. BTW, I've noticed you changed your avatar! Why is that? Sorry, I'm a curious person.

No one invited me into this conversation, but if you'll allow me: the short answer to whether you need special materials is yes, but they don’t have to be made of gold (in the case of kings, if we’re talking about Goetia). You can consecrate parchment paper and assign it certain ‘gold-like’ properties yourself, and the same applies to the other materials. However, you should still have a protective circle if you are evoking something, as well as your lamens, pentacles, etc

Go with the spirits that suits your current situation, Vassago is an option but it all depends on what you are looking for, what is your goal? Answer that question then you can remove the spirits that doesn’t fit your goal. Bune is very friendly and soft spoken.

I can imagine it would be expensive to buy gold to make the seal, but i think we get what we put in to this operation(s). I used 100% brass/copper for Bune since he is a duke. Duke = Copper.

Lesser Key of solomon by Joseph Peterson which is free from EsotericArchives, and top comment said Dr rudd, those two i recommend :

After the descriptions of the spirits, it explains how the seal shall be made and at what hours the should be evoked. Very informative!

Lon Milo Duquette's Illustrated Goetia, Rufus Opus's Goetic Grimoire, or Jason Miller's Consorting with Spirits all have easier approaches to conjuring the Goetic spirits than how it's written traditionally. I've used them all to good effect!

For more friendly spirits, I found Bune and Orobas pretty easy to approach. Belial was friendly to me in an aggressive way, like a upper class businessman who won't take shit, and will treat you like his nepo baby to take you to the top!

Jumping in on the seal materials thing — honestly, don't stress about needing gold for the kings. That whole "king = gold, duke = copper" idea is more of a modern convention than something the old Lemegeton actually tells you to do. It comes from lining each rank up with a planet and then borrowing that planet's metal. The original text is pretty light on it, it never really says "make each king's seal out of gold." So like Socriotoy said, consecrating parchment and giving it those properties yourself works fine, and plenty of people have always used substitutes anyway.

For a first spirit I'd second the ones saying keep it gentle and pick by your actual goal rather than by "power." Vassago gets recommended for a reason, the old description literally calls him "of a good nature," and he's one you approach to find lost things or see what's coming rather than anything heavy. Bune and Orobas that others mentioned are in that same easygoing camp. Start with whatever matches what you're actually after, keep it simple, and don't skip the protective circle.

A lot of people start with Bune, but make sure you know why you want to call them in so your not summoning someone who doesn't specialize in what you are looking for. I personally use them for inner alchemy which is a ride because they are more than happy to show you where you have internal imbalances. It can be hard to look at, but if you can handle it and work on those things you can have a much stronger foundation for life and depending on how often you do this life will never be boring again, lol.

Hello, I am completely new to the LHP, and to esotericism in general.
I have a project that I would describe as ambitious: the restructuring of the ego (individuation). I have the theoretical material and I am trying to start working on the physical aspect, but I also want to take an esoteric approach—more specifically, making a pact with Orobas to acquire virtues and strengthen the ego. However, I don't know exactly what to study.
Is studying the Lemegeton and following the forum enough to evoke Orobas, considering this would be a medium-term pact?

Why asking here instead of making a new thread? Also, you want to ask a demon for virtues? They have none to give.

I did not want to create a new topic in vain.
They have none to give.
I will not literally ask for this, according to Orobas's description "The presence of this archetype suggests that Orobas is not only a spiritual guide, but also a symbol of ascension, speed and access to divine knowledge.
That is literally virtue.

If you want to try, first I would recommend you the Gallery of Magick Demons of magick book. It’s a light version.
I tried a more complex ritual but I didn’t had any results whatsoever. At the moment I’m saving to construct an Almadel and get also a black mirror/sphere to help me in my operations.

You can work with Clauneck, even though he is from the Grimorium Verum, or alternatively with Bune (who is from the Goetia), though he isn't quite as friendly...
