I was born with an atheist and a notoriously curious devil on my shoulders.
Both still speak to me, yet the curious showed me the works of Rupert Sheldrake ('The science delusion') a few years ago and lately it guided me to
a magician named Dr. Stephen Skinner who finally managed to make me believe there are demons/spirits that can actually do things in the material
world. At this point I don't practice magic, I just read about it and I'm eager to learn about what happens when magic is successfull. This is to silence
my still alive and well doing atheistic devil. Please have a look at the board Energy Manipulation and Vampirism in a few days (my post is still awaiting
approval). Maybe you can help me with these strange phenomena I'm experiencing. It's not a delusion, I'm sure. To counteract this, it seems I have
no choice but to engage in Magic.

Hi Barnabas. What did Stephen Skinner do to make you believe in demons/spirits?

Welcome, Barnabas. I was raised with quite a lot of so-called Biblical knowledge. In fact, to this day I'm pretty good at quoting scripture to make a point if I feel motivated to do so. As a former Jehovah's Witness, I had to 'deprogram' myself from the cult-think, however...

Jehovah's Witnesses do believe in Satan and demons. Quite often their books and magazines have stories of people who freed themselves from demonic influences and spiritism by "coming to know Jehovah and using his name" as they would often say. As an adult, I came to the conclusion that mental illness and drug abuse were at the heart of every story involving "demons." I also have never in my life personally experienced anything (yet) that couldn't be explained via rational and scientific means...

So, when I left that religion, I left all belief in the spirit world behind and became an atheist for 15 years. It's curious to me that I'm coming back around the circle, so to speak, and looking into what used to be forbidden knowledge (spiritism), but with the goal of discovering its truth, not the caricature I was told to believe in as a child.

I look forward to reading your future posts!

that seemed real to me.
Also I got the impression that magic is a craft performed during all ages of mankind by methods that can be compared and analysed in a scientific manner. When it comes to the question Is it a thing, or not? I often tend to If it's that old and still alive, it must be real. B.S. doesn't get that old.
