Hi from N. Ireland,

I signed up to this forum just to ask if someone might be able to identify if this bundled twig object that I found directly outside my house is anything related to witchcraft / curses or a hex ? (I'm not involved in witchcraft myself)

I found it quite odd that it would be placed there, but I do believe that there are those practicing the dark arts that live in my area.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I moved it just in case. Seems like a binding (of whatever) I like to do these type mini curses / hexes with natural materials.
If you haven't angered anyone I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe do an uncrossing / banishing and take a shower afterwards.

This is a hex, but it doesn’t aim at you or your family. Sometimes stuff like this just gets carried by the wind and ends up outside somebody’s house. I just wanted to comment because if you or anyone reading this ever sees something similar again, you’ll have an idea of how to deal with it.

I definitely wouldn’t touch it even with gloves on. And I wouldn’t use third party stuff either, like cardboard, a shovel, etc. because at that point you have the intention to “carry it.” It’ll affect you, even if it’s only a small degree of effect when it’s not actually directed at you, it’s still not something you want on you.
Same thing with putting it in a trash bag or plastic bag or anything where you’re carrying it is a no.
Don’t burn it. Burning it affects the person doing the burning instead of being the cleanse people think it’s going to be.

So the best option is honestly to have somebody else pick it up and get it away from you, but I know that’s way easier said than done because it sounds suspicious. A creative workaround is using a leaf blower or anything with enough force to blow it away from your property and off to the side of the road.

don't touch them with your bare hands.
I definitely wouldn’t touch it even with gloves on.
What the hell, this is fearmongering, guys.

the intention to “carry it.”
Yeah but your intention to get rid of it is much stronger.

It'd be one thing if you were ignorant and curious and brought it into your home out of fascination...

If you stomp on it with your heel, pick it up, and throw it away – cleanse yourself if you're feeling extra paranoid – then you'll be completely fine.

You on some weak shit if you think some pansy-ass bundle of sticks weakling hex that wasn't even targeted towards you is going to actually be strong enough to affect you in a capacity that the most basic and mundane cleansing couldn't fix.

This is exactly the kind of conditions people build into this type of hex, because the moment others see it, they’ll want to pick it up, destroy it, or burn it. And then it can affect more, whether they were the intended target or not. And worse for the target.

And it might not even be the full hex. What you see in the photo could be only one piece, with other parts elsewhere that OP and none of us know about, so you don’t realize how complex it can be.

I’m just sharing what I do know about hexes so others can recognize this one and watch out if they ever come across something similar. No harm in that.

I agree with @SkullTraill , if you feel like you need something to do curse reversal then I recommend this:

Just do the curse reversal and if there's any "sign" then you get a confirmation that something was there, and if there's no "sign" then there's no harm down. If you feel personally afraid/anxious about it(I would be if I saw someone dropping anything weird looking around my house) , then just set up a witch bottle in your house yard or around it, do the reversal, cleansing, etc.

Don't hold it to your own heart too much and just be procedural about it. If someone was already attacking you and they were an expert or a professional, then they wouldn't want to be so high-key or obvious about it.

if you still feel some ickiness from it and you want someone to do it for you then there are people around who can do it as commission based work, but these spell reversal I linked are so easy that figuring out the curse and stressing about where it come from or identify it is a bit...unnecessary?

It's like asking if the poop infront of your door was from a guy, a dog, or a cat :ROFLMAO: better just get rid of it lol
