Glad to be a part of the community.

I've been loosely interested in the occult for a long time, only recently realizing my interests in art, literature/poetry, and philosophy/rheory has been about this the whole time!

I am particularly interested in the role of the active imagination or the imaginatrix in Magickal practice. Ultimately, Deleuze & Guattari brought me here along with Land, Bataille, Negarestani, Benjamin, K Dick, and Marx.

Current research has me looking at Gnosticism ans Hermeticism via Merkur, Jonas, Yates, and Corbin. Also studying Regardie, AOS, Jung's Liber Novus, and despite knowing I shouldn't...the Star Game is of great interest to me (though I do not subscribe to the beliefs of many of its practicioners).

Anyways, glad to be here and hoping to keep learning.

Certainly an interesting combination. I use Jung's findings quite extensively in my practice.

Oh yeah, well, who knows where I'll end up, definitely a neophyte. Maybe i'll stop when I've run out of money purchasing esoteric literature!

I'm also trying to base my practice around Jungian Active Imagination, dream work and the process of individuation, an I feel like finally finding the keys to "Imaginatio Vera", true imagination capable of reflect and influence reality.

Awesome. I'm glad to meet you. I'm currently reading Henry Corbin's 'Alone with the Alone' and it is entirely about that, though through a particular lens of Sufism. Im very new to this part of my journey and would love to hear about any books or techniques that youve found useful, exciting, or provocative.

"Jung and the Alchemical Imagination" from Jeffrey Raff and Robert Bosnak "Little Course on Dreams" had been my major practical inspiration, apart from Murray Stein exposition of Jungian theory. I'm also trying to begin to read Corbin systematically: do you have any suggestions on theoretical and practical books that are based on or describe Corbin's theory of the imaginal?

Thank you for the recommendations. My primary point of contact with young thus far is Liber Novus but I've only just started reading and figuring out my path. I unfortunately don't have any recommendations on Corbin, especially from a practical perspective, which is in general the area that I have the most difficulty finding things that resonate with me whereas the theory side of things I seem to be able to find my bearings (probably as I have more experience in this respect and is what led me here to begin with). I will say that Joshua Ramey's book, "The Hermetic Deleuze" and Dan Merkur's "Gnosis: An Esoteric Tradition of Mystical Visions and Unions" were especially interesting to me and both are sorta broad surveys of the topics that focus a great deal on the imaginal/virtual/becoming etc. Joshua Ramey's book in particular attempts to bring Deleuze and Corbin together, if Deleuze and Guattari are of any interest to you.

Once again, I really appreciate the recs and am very eager to learn knowing that I know very little at this point!
