They would be able to make themselves seize until they die after they attempted to fire off all of their neurons at once.

I always seen this claimed but never saw any evidence to support it, how do you feel about the idea or theory of humans consciously only using 10% of their brain manually. Most of us go day by day on Autopilot, what do you think a person who is using all capacity of his brain would look like or act/respond to other basic needs or challenges we face. What are your thoughts on this take I know it can get deeper when thinking about this sort of topic, leaning more into genetics and certain gene's or dormant gene's that have not been active, but I would like to hear the theory of my fellow occultist. I also heard that most of the brain's use/power resides in the subconscious, but I do not have much knowledge on this myself.

I think that somehow got misconstrued from people hearing that 10% of human DNA is considered functional and the rest being "junk".

RE: How do you feel about the 10% claim.
SUBTOPIC: How is this measured?
⁜→ et al,

Assuming that an individual is not brain-damaged, what little we do know is that different parts of the brain perform different functions. So, just for me to sit down and type this simple comment, probably caused most segments of the brain to activate in some manner. I think that the entire anatomy of the brain was probably involved.

So, how do I measure the activity usage of the brain? I do not think the question is realistic.

Most Respectfully,
R

I suspect it actually refs using 10% of your consciousness which, for most wearing flesh, would be an absolute stretch as many live and die on autopilot. There have also been people with chunks of their brain missing who functioned the same as the next which strongly hints at the holographic principle in full effect...

The question one should ask is why this is? The answer comes from ancient myth and the legends of back when that said man fell from the golden age of legend. This is an immense Game.

That its bullshit, there is not such of things of only using 10%, 15%, 20% of the brain. Everyone use their brain at full capacity, the problem is that some people just have low intelligence.

I have to disagree, that's too simple.

Many normal and average intelligent people live routine, sedentary lives, often in front of a screen or doing passive tasks that require very minimal human input. I'm astounded at the fact that there are people who are completely without any meaningful hobbies or forms of artistic expression, outside of a passenger-experience like video games or television, but there are. What am I getting at with this?

The 10% I believe is a metaphor but is in a sense correct, not biologically but psychologically. If you live a life that doesn't stimulate your brain's faculties, where everything is rote and pretty much needs you just to push a button or go down a simple direction, you aren't going to be using your brain at it's full capacity, because it's capable of an incredible amount, otherwise we would have never survived the demanding conditions of the jungle. Imagine the shame your mighty ancestors must feel seeing people hunch about, crippled by anxiety over simple tasks.

The greatest people are examples of what the brain is capable of. Mozart was using his brain at full capacity, so was Einstein, Plato, Shakespeare and Ghandi. You're capable of everything - and more - these people did, so what's stopping you? What's your excuse?

Doing complex things is taxing because they require focus and effort that our lives don't require, you could say our lives only require 10% of our effort to be used... you could argue that number has dropped down into the single digits, the increasing technological simplification and passivity of our lives brings down what we're capable of. Our lives are often so simple and slavish, and people languish like tamed but mighty elephants held in place by a rope tied to a tree.

Scientifically it's incorrect, it's a wives-tale and has no truth to it. Metaphorically it points out the titanic workload of the sub/unconscious compared to the egoic conscious self that's just a chunk of it.

The unconscious - the "90%" humans don't use - is still active and churning, we're just unaware of it sans the "intuitions" "impulses" "hunches" & "instincts" we get from it. The mind is like a horse we ride on, you could say the rider is the "10%", the ego, us. You direct the horse, but the horse does all the work and can collapse under you if it's not paid attention to.

To say we go through life on autopilot is an understatement: most people live life according to the description of the roles they've taken on, they act as a doctor should act, act as a father and husband should act, even when you're hanging out with the boys there's a code of conduct, it's programs we follow to be successful in the world, and we may enjoy them, but they're inauthentic, they're social-constructs. Then throw in the abstract, far off goals that people follow, an imaginary oasis decades into the intangible future. I wouldn't say autopilot, I would say hypnotized, anesthetized.

A being who becomes both the horse & rider? A 100%-er? That's enlightenment, that's what being awake means. To have clear communication & unity with the unconscious, taking in all the information it has to offer would give you suprahuman cognition. You would be getting more "reality" fed to you than most other people, because the unconscious acts as a filter. You would be able to see & interract with systems of reality incomprehensible to the average rider because you are also the horse, you have a connection to it, and that horse has an intimate connection to reality's true face, because it runs on it, and the ego, "you", just ride on it.
Hummm... Well Said!

The brain is only the organ. Using 10% of the organ for what?

Aside from the philosophical point that humanity is severely under-estimating and under-utilizing its potential in terms of a type of psychological functionality, that might actually be a guud thing.

Be there some truth to these capacities used or not - I think we all sense that there is truth to it that even the absolute geniuses run below their true potential, and we could look at this from many angles.

The ones that we may perceive as coming close to full potential used are people like the miracle mathematician Ramanujan that was in contact with a form of Shakti, his formulas are so advanced they are still proven today. Tesla worked on his ideas in a sort of lucid dream state and was aware of the liminal states after and before sleeping. We all know stories of the Holyman in India, the Tibetan and Shaolin Monks performing 'impossible stuff'.

I would argue that those that 'think the least' work at the highest capacity if the pathway is established - meaning similar to body memory, when the task is repeated often enough, be it a pencil stroke or a thought process - when these persistent practitioners enter the state of non attachment they truly become the most potent antenna as they paved the way by maximizing their potential to be one.

If our thoughts and ideas do not originate in our squishy organ we only have to fish out the idea that is shot down our conductive wetware via some uranian strikes - and there it is for a short moment, eureka, better have some pen and paper.

So the analogy of the app that only uses a little fraction of processing power fits perfectly i guess.

Regarding unused potential, we also all know this is very sad and true too. While most of our forefathers simply did not have the luxury of thinking about the 'worlds problems' being busy with their own, we now usually have the time but our mental hygiene is threatened and attacked from all angles with perfected precision and algorithmic triggers. Digital detox is not a trend anymore, it's duty.

On top of that there is a scientist that was wrote a book on the creepy topic of our brain under attack, as a combination of certain 'modified proteins' and a constant overload of catastrophic messages overload the brain and literally overwrite personalities and lessen the ability to think critically etc. If you are interested in that check out this interview:

If we look at our brain capacity from a different theoretical angle - the concept of the vedic yugas for example - we could imagine that we are maybe using less of it's true capacity as we are in a very 'matter first' perception of reality right now, where many have completely lost the access to their own spirituality, the trust in their intuition and so on.
So with psychedelics and breath techniques besides maybe also lucid dreaming and similar astral techniques we can start to imagine what vastness of states of perception exist and are there besides the realm we are navigating in our everyday torment -
anyone that has floated around the block on such a substance knows how much of the ability to navigate the everyday reality is limited by these.

What I mean is that we function through limitation of our perception, as seeing all that's happening would be so profound we would be in a state of orgiastic drooling bliss while walking around like filthy wrecks unaware of our physical appearances.

Similarly we should approach our vulnerable state of being bombarded by filth by eliminating it as much as we can to be able to navigate in accord to our will without ending up drooling at pixels and crying over non-matching mirror appearances compared to pixels.

Of course besides the huge not fully understood metaphysical processes there is the physical, there is the optogenetic part i mentioned with the invasive artificial light optogenetic attack (that we can counter by light therapy and digital detox) and there is the biochemistry that we can optimize to be 'better obelisk antennas' -

In nutrition alone is much wisdom - like many say living plant foods are more electrical in energy and animal foods more magnetic in quality, make out of it what you like, i guess it has some correspondences to the more celestial and more chthonic realms. There may be some higher truths in that, still our greek and mesopotamian buddies etc ate a mixed diet and were fine as far as i know.
So one can optimize that lil spaceship body, today the better than ever, and still the huge trap of overthinking makes our software run slower, like some shitty stained windows bloatware thing that installs huge surveillance systems on its own without consent, have a look at linux people.

So that are some thoughts i have on this topic, if you feel like exploring the relationship of language and reality, ai and consciousness further feel free to join the little thread I started a while ago to collect resources on related topics here.
