They would be able to make themselves seize until they die after they attempted to fire off all of their neurons at once.

I always seen this claimed but never saw any evidence to support it, how do you feel about the idea or theory of humans consciously only using 10% of their brain manually. Most of us go day by day on Autopilot, what do you think a person who is using all capacity of his brain would look like or act/respond to other basic needs or challenges we face. What are your thoughts on this take I know it can get deeper when thinking about this sort of topic, leaning more into genetics and certain gene's or dormant gene's that have not been active, but I would like to hear the theory of my fellow occultist. I also heard that most of the brain's use/power resides in the subconscious, but I do not have much knowledge on this myself.

I think that somehow got misconstrued from people hearing that 10% of human DNA is considered functional and the rest being "junk".

RE: How do you feel about the 10% claim.
SUBTOPIC: How is this measured?
⁜→ et al,

Assuming that an individual is not brain-damaged, what little we do know is that different parts of the brain perform different functions. So, just for me to sit down and type this simple comment, probably caused most segments of the brain to activate in some manner. I think that the entire anatomy of the brain was probably involved.

So, how do I measure the activity usage of the brain? I do not think the question is realistic.

Most Respectfully,
R

I suspect it actually refs using 10% of your consciousness which, for most wearing flesh, would be an absolute stretch as many live and die on autopilot. There have also been people with chunks of their brain missing who functioned the same as the next which strongly hints at the holographic principle in full effect...

The question one should ask is why this is? The answer comes from ancient myth and the legends of back when that said man fell from the golden age of legend. This is an immense Game.

That its bullshit, there is not such of things of only using 10%, 15%, 20% of the brain. Everyone use their brain at full capacity, the problem is that some people just have low intelligence.

I have to disagree, that's too simple.

Many normal and average intelligent people live routine, sedentary lives, often in front of a screen or doing passive tasks that require very minimal human input. I'm astounded at the fact that there are people who are completely without any meaningful hobbies or forms of artistic expression, outside of a passenger-experience like video games or television, but there are. What am I getting at with this?

The 10% I believe is a metaphor but is in a sense correct, not biologically but psychologically. If you live a life that doesn't stimulate your brain's faculties, where everything is rote and pretty much needs you just to push a button or go down a simple direction, you aren't going to be using your brain at it's full capacity, because it's capable of an incredible amount, otherwise we would have never survived the demanding conditions of the jungle. Imagine the shame your mighty ancestors must feel seeing people hunch about, crippled by anxiety over simple tasks.

The greatest people are examples of what the brain is capable of. Mozart was using his brain at full capacity, so was Einstein, Plato, Shakespeare and Ghandi. You're capable of everything - and more - these people did, so what's stopping you? What's your excuse?

Doing complex things is taxing because they require focus and effort that our lives don't require, you could say our lives only require 10% of our effort to be used... you could argue that number has dropped down into the single digits, the increasing technological simplification and passivity of our lives brings down what we're capable of. Our lives are often so simple and slavish, and people languish like tamed but mighty elephants held in place by a rope tied to a tree.

Scientifically it's incorrect, it's a wives-tale and has no truth to it. Metaphorically it points out the titanic workload of the sub/unconscious compared to the egoic conscious self that's just a chunk of it.

The unconscious - the "90%" humans don't use - is still active and churning, we're just unaware of it sans the "intuitions" "impulses" "hunches" & "instincts" we get from it. The mind is like a horse we ride on, you could say the rider is the "10%", the ego, us. You direct the horse, but the horse does all the work and can collapse under you if it's not paid attention to.

To say we go through life on autopilot is an understatement: most people live life according to the description of the roles they've taken on, they act as a doctor should act, act as a father and husband should act, even when you're hanging out with the boys there's a code of conduct, it's programs we follow to be successful in the world, and we may enjoy them, but they're inauthentic, they're social-constructs. Then throw in the abstract, far off goals that people follow, an imaginary oasis decades into the intangible future. I wouldn't say autopilot, I would say hypnotized, anesthetized.

A being who becomes both the horse & rider? A 100%-er? That's enlightenment, that's what being awake means. To have clear communication & unity with the unconscious, taking in all the information it has to offer would give you suprahuman cognition. You would be getting more "reality" fed to you than most other people, because the unconscious acts as a filter. You would be able to see & interract with systems of reality incomprehensible to the average rider because you are also the horse, you have a connection to it, and that horse has an intimate connection to reality's true face, because it runs on it, and the ego, "you", just ride on it.
Hummm... Well Said!
