I was hoping it was a zip. Rar files are much harder to crack.

I don't think they did. Most of archived stuff with a password available for downloading it's fake.

Rar files are winrar, a program I used and recommended. More secure and you can get at contents of jars and tar files. Even gz.

There are a couple of red flags when it comes to password protected archives containing courses and similar stuff, like the size being too small compared to the original or finding similar template looking websites that say if you do this and that they will send you the password.

They (the OP or someone else completely unrelated) ended cracking the password. I’ve listened to about half of the lessons so far. I’ll look and see how big it is and if my mega account could hold it.
