Welcome to the Forum! Happy to have a new Hermetic point of view, eager to see what you'll have to say and contribute.

You'll get recommended this a thousand times, but Franz Bardon's Initiation into Hermetics is a goodie. Anything to do with Hermes T and the Kabalion is solid too, interpretations on the Emerald Tablet and Hermetic laws (I think there's 7) are something that'd be good to collect.

Either way you've come to the right place, great library here and lots of practitioners, though a lot of us go eclectic over time.

Welcome! The corpus Hermeticum is a good start obviously but there is a short version named the same but it’s by…. One sec.
It was edited by Tarl Warwick, it’s only 127 pages, if you read that and like it then I highly suggest the full version, the other is just an easier read but not all encompassing. There’s 17 works (technically 18 if you include the profession of silence as its own work) but they are all shortened.so for an in depth review I don’t suggest the 2015 edition by Tarl but an earlier rendition.
my apologies I don’t have a copy offhand to suggest right this second but you should be able to find the complete works in the library.

For specific book requests, use the Book Requests section, for questions about recommended books for a given topic use Book Discussion and Reviews with the Recommendations tag; I've made an exception since you're new. Also search the Library for "Hermes", "Hermetic", etc.

Yes, 7 according to the Kabalion, but many would reject the kabalion as hermetic nor would some suggest “the emerald tablets” as part of them, but rather his writings, not the tablets.
the 7 principles according to the Kabalion are….

1) Mentalism
(All is mind the universe is mental)

2) Vibration
(Everything moves)

3) Correspondence
(As above so below) Kabalion added (as within so without)

4) Polarity
(Everything has opposites)

5) Rhythm
(Everything flows, it’s a pendulum, it’s greovy
Man)

6) Cause and effect
(Everything has a cause, everything has an effect, it’s all according to the law)

7) Gender
(Everything has masculine and feminine, gender is everything)

practionars on which books/courses are worth following.
Corpus Hermeticum before anything. If Hermetic thought has its own bible, nowadays its considered this one. Perfect Sermon after that. There are more papers such as Oxford and Vienna fragments and many more, but the former two will suffice for the start.

That covers the thought behind the movement, for praxis, you oughtta look for books that come from same time frame like Magickal papyri such as Demotic and Greek, but Initiation Into Hermetics is also a good advice, not really because it gives you Hermetic skills, no, it gives you skills that you can use with nearly any kind of thought. I will also recommend Liber Null & Psychonaut.

Ok, but let's discuss Hermeticism and the Kybalion in a seperate thread in Philosophy, after all, this is an introductory post.
