More than anything, I was taken by the notion that in the future you could buy a doctoral degree at Walmart. That and they didn't know you had to water plants to make them grow. (Kind of the state modern education is in.)
I was homeschooled because my parents had religious beliefs about people other than your parents teaching children. I see yhese universities saying that they have high school graduates who can’t read being accepted into college. I just saw something about a supposed prodigy professor in England who had not only completely fraudulent credentials, he made many outrageous claims that were physically impossible (ran a marathon with a broken leg etc).
i used to do living history reenactments. Ask children where they think food comes from and they say the grocery stores. a grown adult parent sticks their hand in a toaring coke forge to prove that the blacksmith is lying about it being a real fire.

idiocracy is funny because it’s so ridiculous but the reality of daily life idiocracy is disturbing. I remember reading mcguffy readers for people in like 3-4th grade. My parents insisted we learn Latin and Greek and wanted tus to learn Hebrew so we could read gawds wurd. That used to be the bare minimum for college. Shit is so depressing man.
