Hi all!

I need help with getting back into practice - the thing is, in the last three or so years I lost alignment to any and all things spiritual. I've been pulled to traditional demonolatry and cornish witchcraft lately, but I realize that these things are more advanced that my current condition lets me dip my toes into.
I believe that I used to have some abilities like clairvoyance and clairsentience, but I'm not even sure anymore, looking back.
I want to practice protective spells and also get to know if Ihave any chance at recognizing if the Entities I want to contact/worship are acknowledging my existence, but I'm not entirely sure how to do it "by the book", since I sometimes have trouble understanding what some specific terms mean, due to english not being my first language (also I find it hard to trust my gut).

Could you guys share some tips on how to safely walk this path as a "reborn" practitioner? How did you navigate back when you began? How did it feel and what to expect?
Funny anecdotes and storytimes are greatly appreciated, I want to keep my thoughts on this as lighthearted and without pressure to do things perfectly on the first try, at least for now while I still educate myself before hands - on spellcasting. Let me know if any of this even makes sense, as I said, sometimes I mix english up a little.

Have a great day wherever you are and I can't wait to hear from you!

Start from the beginning, as if you had no experience at all. Focus, meditation, daily practice, daily ritual, theoretical study.

Begin anew with one thought in mind played at higher volume and often repeated:

"Maybe I'm wrong."

Search out the truth of things with sincerity. How much of your understanding and former practices were based on things you had thoroughly understood? Maybe part of why it went squirly before was a result of misunderstandings or mistakes.

When you being to practice something again, I assume you mean rituals and meditations and so on, maybe begin with what you know rather than what you'd like to know. If you feel that you are exploring meditation, or spirits, maybe retrace your steps and go back to something more basic even than that.

But above all find new and better sources of inspiration. I dont mean literature alone, but definitely that. Be inspired by new things and dont feel a need to cram them into a coherent understanding of any of this. There is no complete or standard sort of curriculum for any of this, we are all explorers and experimenters, you just do what you feel comfortable doing and you are still doing which is better than the people who don't.
