What would you recommend using to cleanse a space from negative energies and banish entities? I’ve tried the Lesser Ritual of the Pentagram, but the problem only disappeared temporarily. Maybe should I try the Hexagram Ritual instead? In most cases, I’ve used runes and elemental forces for cleansing, but since I’m developing in the field of demonology, I’d like to learn more about traditional methods of banishment and purification.

In any case, I’d be very grateful for any information or guidance.

the Lesser Ritual of the Pentagram
is not something you do once and then are set for the rest of the year. Some people will say it doesn't banish at all and will make demons angry or make you "light up like a lightbulb that attracts insects". If you use it daily it will keep yourself and your area clean though in my opinion.
Talismans / amulets / pentacles like the ones in the Greater Key of Solomon might also be useful as these also are more long-lasting / permanent than a one time ritual.

Yeah, agree with that. It is kindof like a shield that you installed in a house or particular room, it needs maintenance, attention and energy. Protection is not something you do once, it is an ongoing process. In my view even talismans and/or amulets are not permanent. If they had to absorb a lot of unwanted energy, attention from spirits etc they can reach a point of not fully functioning anymore. That's why I make temporary things and destroy the object every year and make a new. I am in demonology too, but in local witchcraft before that. (and some wicca, but left that path) I tried both traditional ritual like LRBP / talismans and my simple own witchy methods based on ally work. Both did work equal powerful but felt a little different. I have to go back to my journals/diaries to re-read what felt different. It is long ago that I did those experiments. .........I feel now like I felt last summer in my job: I had a lovely young student working with me and she asked all kinds of questions. I realized that somewhere in my life I had developed my own workflow, but after all those years I couldn't remember exactly anymore how that workflow developed. So OP, thank you for asking these questions. It is good to think again and try to remember the why's.

You said you are developing in Demonology, did you mean Demonolatry? The difference matters here.

(my automatic spelling corrector makes demonology from demonolatry. And I forget often to control it myself.... So I am guilty too :rolleyes:o_Ogrin. But it is a good thing to mention for the conversation)
