Hi everyone! I've been playing with the PGM and the Greco-Roman-Egyptian pantheon again 😅

The ones I've been using the most recently:
The Helios consecration from Alison Chicosky's Secrets of Helios book, PGM IV 1596-1715, a great general blessing
The Abrahamic blessing from PGM XXXV. 1-42, also a very great general empowerment
The Hidden Stele of Aion from PGM IV 1115-1226, which is GREAT for obstacle clearing in a non-aggressive way
The Headless rite (of course) from PGM V 96-172, as a preliminary invocation
The Hekate Ursa Major spell from PGM VII 686-702, for obstacle clearing in an aggressive way ;)
Stuff from Don Webb's Seven Faces of Darkness, which is all about Set PGM magic with a slight ceremonial bend.
Stuff I'm building out from Sara Mastros's Orphic Hymn Grimoire.

I plan on using the Full Moon spell from PGM IV. 2785-2890 this upcoming full moon, the Set-Typhon initiation to consecrate some wealth talismans based on how Jason Miller consecrated his Alligator Hand talismans that he used to sell, and some other ones I'm working on adapting for some new stuff.

Does anyone have some favorites or want to trade notes? I have a love spell I'm looking for someone to try out that combines PGM IV 1496-1595 and PGM IV 1716-1870.

Awesome.

I wish I had more I use on a regular basis. ** scribbles note **

The famous Headless Rite is such a trusted friend for me. It's very intense so I don't do it all the time. When I do, the next day my scalp, arms and hands, are hot, itchy, and on fire. I always think I'm coming down with a flu or a cold, then I remember "Oh, right, it always does this." :)

I posted PDM xiv. 475-88 below, adapted for the purpose Road Opening.

Thank you for reminding me! I'll be sure to, uh, road test the Hidden Stele of Aion I have some Grim Verum sorcery coming up and Road Opening is part of my standard prep work leading up to the full rite. I shoud do them more often.

Wowww coooool! I'm trying this one on Monday morning for sure!

On the topic of road opening, I saw someone had paired the headless rite with the helios consecration, reframing the charge in the headless rite to be a self-exorcism. I've done it dozens of times on myself and others over the years, and it definitely works wonders. No objects needed, but incense and sunlight helps!

I can't remember where I read it, but someone said that the more they use the headless rite, the more subtle the effects are. I find when I use it now I get the general empowering feeling, but it's not as overwhelming as it used to be when I was first going for K&CHGA. Last night I paired it with the first 2 enochian keys, followed by another rite I'm working on from the PGM, and it hit MUCH more heavily than usual. I'll be experimenting more with the first 2 Enochian keys as a general empowerment to pair with these spells too 😁

Here they are if you want to try it too:

Key 1: OL SONF VORSG GOHO IAD BALT LANSH CALZ VONPHO SOBRA ZOL ROR I TA NAZPSAD OD GRAA TA MALPRG DS HOLQ QAA NOTHOA ZIMZ OD COMMAH TA NOBLOH ZIEN SOBA THIL GNONP PRGE ALDI DS URBS OBOLEH GRSAM CASARM OHORELA CABA PIR DS ZONRENSO CAB ERM IADNAH PILAH FARZM OD ZNRZA ADNA OD GONO IADPIL DS HOM OD TOH SOBA IAOD IPAM OD UL IPAMIS DS LOHOLO VEP ZOME POAMAL OD SONF AAI TA PIAP BALTOH OD VAOAN ZACAR OD ZAMRAN ODO CICLE QAA ZORGE LAP ZIRDO NOCO MAD HOATH IADIA

Key 2: ADGT VPAAH ZONG OM FAAIP SALD VIIV L SOBAM IALPRG IZAZAS PIADPH CASARMA ABRAMG TA TALHO PARACLEDA Q TA LORSLQ TURBS OOGE BALTOH GIVI CHIS LUSD ORRI OD MICALP CHIS BIA OZONGON. LAP NOAN TROF CORS TA GE OQ MANIN JAIDON. TORZU GOHEL ZACAR CA CNOQOD, ZAMRAN MICALZO OD OZAZM VRELP LAP ZIR IOIAD.

No translations in the versions I use, but they can be found online easily :)

That is too damn cool! I love the syncratism. Very much the classic magician's approach going back to Alexandria. Oh, just for backstory and lore, I "slot" the First Enochain Key into a schema using the Aurum Solis thinking here that it's an instrument for the manifestation of the Divine Presence. (However one localizes that into personal aesthetics is cool too.) . I think that is their book 'Mysteria Magica' -Volume 3 of The Magical Philosophy series, if a recall. Been awhile. I've not used Enochian since the 1990's.

Very interesting! I just recently obtained an English copy of the PGM and am about to delve into it. Been on a Greco-Roman/Egyptian kick recently (Hellenic dieties in general). Gonna watch this thread with interest!

Oh! I've been trying the Helios rite from Chicosky's Secrets of Helios book off and on for awhile, but unlike the Headless I can't get it to activate or "click" for some reason. I can't tell if it's supposed to be super subtle or I must missing something vital. (Anybody using it and have any observations or suggestions?) That is a great suggestion. I will try pairing it with the Headless Rite ...and doing more of the usual, minding timings and directions more.

I'll check it out! I heard Aurum Solis has interesting Enochian material, but I never took the time to dive deep into their works. I agree on the first key manifesting a general divine presence. Benjamin Rowe's analysis of it seems to also confirm that, while also referencing the elements of creation. Frater Yechidah recommends not pairing it with the second key, but Scott Michael Stenwick says pairing the two works well for invocations & evocations. I don't think I'd ever use keys 3-19 on anything except Enochian ritual, but 1 and 2 seem to be very adaptable!

Oh interesting, how about PGM III. 494-611 to establish a relationship first? It uses a similar ritual form as PGM IV 1596-1715, but is longer and packs a better punch :D
