What schools of magic are still used, still have power currents, and still have active egregores? To my knowledge on the side of light, four existed, BOTA, Fraternity of the Hidden Light, OTO/AA, and the Golden Dawn. On the dark side, Temple of the Ascending Flame, the OAA, and Order of Dragon Rouge, aside from the Church of Satan.

Quareia seems to be the hottest school right now, and I do have the Magical Trilogy and Tarot Skills for the 21st centiry, thanks to WizardForums. This is the first forum Ive found that actually shares their best material and teachings these days.

I would love to see all Magicians united for mans forward progress through time, but sadly I dont see this happening, Those on the dark side, they still have some light, but from an outside view, it seems they want their own empires and universe, not collectively working together for some balanced purpose in the end.

So you tell me, what are the active magic currents these days for newcomers? I have a teacher at the moment, but Im throwing this out here for past frustration and hoping others dont have to follow in my poor choices and bad habit, perhaps good schools will live up to their purpose over time.

Disclaimer: I am not ragging on anyone in particular, groups or otherwise. You all have your merit in my association with you in the past and the current .. and possibly the future. Ive made poor choices in word and thought and dealing with the fallout now and in the future for them. What I would like to see are strong organized schools that dont let others follow my mistakes in the current or past.

The reason I ask is that several I know in real life are drifting toward interest in magic, and some I suspect have been doing it on the downlow.

I want to steer them toward the best magic school I am aware of and that they showed interest in, to a couple I brought up[ Crowley, one responded with laughter to it and the other took no interest in him. With suggesting the Golden Dawn, the one that laughed at the previous school had no interest, the other had immense interest.

So, I just want to steer people toward right choices. Whether or not I am following that path.

There is an agenda in the Lodges, what that is? It seems to me they commune with the higher realms and on earth they work for mans betterment, peace, evolution.

You have a teacher? Why isn’t this person answering all the questions you have on this forum, such as about your dreams etc and or this one?

as for magicians United...they are United in lodges etc, IMO even the Synagogue and Churches can be can be as a group soul that works for bettering mankind

Yes, supposedly that is also an agenda...not of say the lodges I guess but the angelic princes, when They war the nations war and supposedly we come out better for it.

there are lodges that fight counter to this the black ones but honestly I doubt many can and do meet them or ever achieve the mental or magical ability of the true adepts though I’m sure they exist

thats why certain people here sicken me when they talk about seeing the Ain Sof or being so high up yet they contribute nothing of learning to the forum, no just oh look at me and what I did in my fantasy past life but if anyone here needs help I can’t help.

I know some lodges are still around for Golden Dawn and OTO/AA. I'm ignorant outside of the Golden Dawn (and probably within as well, knowing is half the battle).

I wasn't quite sure how the currents are within them though, I have read some had contamination (Dion Fortunes purity makes perfect sense in light of that).

The desire for power is really interesting, especially when it comes to magic or mysticism.
I guess humility is the way.

I would say most of the RHP groups lead toward the highest level of emotional desires and mental intents. There is a word that Ive come across in several groups, that of re-integration. Unity ?

There are various inner planes schools. Physical plane schools often have some connection but rarely represent the inner plane schools.

The inner planes schools for this planet exist within a greater structure often with specialist functions.

I have also seen a dark school, training those that work with the outbreath of The Source of All. Their graduates are darkly radiant and by graduation have moved from the human kingdom to the devic kingdom so that they can carry out their work.
