I meditate or pray in public whenever I feel like it, but when I engage in more active visualization, projecting or even just reading from more exploratory texts I tend to keep to myself and give myself a bit of a grace period of a half hour to an hour before and after to stay grounded, when it's possible.
This'll happen when I can keep to myself, either solo in a room or on a walk or some kind of journey with the former two, but when it comes to books of certain topics I tend to keep my studies private and away from any kind of public space or spot where I may be led into conversation with other folks and may be challenged to put the content of the works and my reasons for engaging with them into words.
