@SkullTraill - Just to make sure I don't run afoul of any rules (I'm looking at the Rules thread now, so I don't think so...)

In the new thread I plan to start that is a place for a long string of remote viewing practice targets and session data, I would like to link to a couple resources that are not on WF. A specific reddit post that is the /r/remotevewing FAQ post, the /r/remoteviewing Beginner's Guide (I wrote a version of this years ago, it's since been updated and is even better, I'm so proud of them!), and link to another site with practice targets, probably Lyn Buchanan's Intuitive Specialist Target Pool. I would also link to a site to get SHA-265 hashes.

Since I've been given warnings before for linking to things outside WF, I just want to check first that this is OK. All these resources are held in high regard and are associated with the professional and legitimate remote viewing community.

For the new thread, the structure would be a first post with links and an explanation of how to task targets and how to post session data. We would ask that people use the spoiler tag to hide their session data so other people looking for targets don't accidentally see it. For the target itself, to maintain consistency, I would ask people to take the exact text of their tasking and paste it into a SHA-265 hash and post that under a spoiler with the target. This will validate that the target, when revealed, has been the same the whole time without risking it being posted anywhere and spoiling the session. Target reveal posts should come about a week after the target post goes up, regardless of how many people attempted the target.

If there's any problems or concerns or questions, please let me know.

Solution
Firstly, the place for this type of question is in the website help section. Not some other random thread.

Secondly, yes that would be allowed as long as whatever link you post:
  • IS NOT a web page selling a product or service
  • DOES NOT itself contain any links to another page selling a product or service
  • IS NOT malicious/malware
  • DOES NOT contain adult content
  • IS NOT a forum (if it is reach out to me I’ll approve the link if the content is of high value)

Thanks for your response - I figured the context was relevant which is why I asked as part of the other thread, for your reference. Sorry for not putting this question in the right spot.

The main problem is that many practice target pools are hosted by professional remote viewers who themselves sell books or training or services. They're listed as resources in the reddit FAQ. I'll review links again for their beginner's guide. But the link from a link rule is going to take some work. Not complaining about the rule, I get it. I just hadn't ever thought about the secondary level aspect.

If you want, PM me for manual approval of those types of links. If the content is valuable I’ll allow it.
