I do apologize if any of these are inappropriate questions, I do not mean to offend or ask anything inappropriate, I just wish to learn is all. I get very nervous about asking questions regarding sensitive subject matter. I am also trying to limit my questions, but I have million different ones and not sure at all where to starts at all if I am being honest.

Questions:
Can white people use honey in spells and jars as an ingredient? Just one or the other? Is there even a difference?

Did white Europeans/ people steal the practice of honey from ATRS? What about the thieves vinegar? The person did say that there is plenty of stuff for white people to study, but I think the other stuff they said contradicts that. Maybe I interpreted what else they said wrongly?

Is all European practices / folk practices just stolen from other cultures/ practices?

Are spell jars / bottles stolen?

Trying to understand more, especially if I take inspiration for fiction/stories/ world building. I do not feel like it is my place to take inspiration from closed practices and or cultures as a white person. Would be okay if I were to take inspiration from something like four thieves vinegar and or anything else like it that as long as it originated from European folk magic / practices, but was later into Hoodoo and others ATRS? Assuming the stuff I have read is actually true and it wasn't just stolen from ATRS.

Would there be cultural appropriation when it comes to writing fictional characters, especially whites ones, making non magical medicines and such other things.

Is wicca / paganism just cultural appropriation?

Can white people use dance and music and or singing for their own magickal and or spiritual practices or is this something only in Vodou and or any other closed religions / practices?

These questions also apply to other roots and spirits and other such.

I like looking into things sometimes and I found out about High John the Conqueror and the imopea Jalapa.

I was curious if using the plant in a practice that is not voodoo and or hoodoo is okay. And I was also curious if drawing the plant and or drawing a character using the plant as an ingredient in something mundane and or spiritual and or magical is okay? Would anything happen at all if if one were to do that?

Purely out of curiosity: Would anything happen if a white person were to try and to pray to him at all? I remember reading that a practionor said that if a white person were to do that they would end up very hurt and or killed / dead because of the spirit.

Would it be okay to use the Jalapa plant / root and or any plant / root if it is connected to a hoodoo and or voodoo spirit and or deity in another practice that is not hoodoo and or voodoo?
What about for the purposes of fiction, story or fictional character, and or etc, that is not related to voodoo and or hoodoo? Example would be the fictional chracter making potions / elixirs / ointments / healing related things / making non healing related things / etc. Magical and or otherwise.

Does imagining using the root with magickal intention cause anything to happen? Or does it not matter?

Can one use roots in their own practices(that is not hoodoo and or voodoo)? Or is that exclusively to those practices? Would something happen if one were to do that?

Is the imopea jalapa inherently tied to the spirits without any ritual / magickal working at all?

Is talismens, charms, and bags / pouches bottles and or jars and etc only for / in hoodoo or is it in european folk magick as well? Ex. Mojo bag and other similar things

I just want to be sure as I do not want to take inspiration from closed practices, religions, cultures, and or etc for any fiction I wrote and or anything I may practice one day.

Can white people use plants in their practices?

Would using roots, plants, spices, herbs, leaves, grass, floweres, etc be dabbling in hoodoo and or voodoo just by using them if one were to use them in another practice where they might be used at all? What if it is used is a practice and or tradition that doesn't use them and or in a personal practice and or tradition made by one person? Like the High John The Conqueror root, the plants itself without the spirit / being imbued with the spirit / without calling on the spirit for the plant / root. Or is it so asscociated with the spirit that it should not be used by people who are not in hoodoo? What are others like this?

What about for medicinal purposes or non magickal purposes?

I really do not understand how my of them are answering the questions I have asked. I really don't.
Just ask one question, not a ton of questions and work on that.....But if you have so much questions, are so emotional and are so bouncing all over the place, magic is not so a good idea. You will get in trouble.

Your questioning suspects that at this moment you can't really have a healthy relationship with magic, which is necessairy. (Added, hit to fast the pr button)

I had to look. Wow! That's actually an excellent horror film in the form of a 1980's punk zine. Nicely done, and a lot of work in layout software.

It's like a Clive Barker Candy Man adaptation. They're basically using media to make a urban legend. But r eally, relax. You've just the watched Eraserhead, Rawhead Rex, and Alien movies. I agree with everyone else. Go outside. Banish that story with laughter.

If it's that urgent you seek the answers to your questions in the way you're presenting them, perhaps you'll find better luck by working with a grounded mentor who will take the time to answer your questions one by one and have a personal conversation with you rather than spamming a forum.

As an immediate response (quick first aid) to the situation, simply repeat: 'Bismillahir Rahman Raheem' 19 times, and your fears will subside.

Is it still an urban legend that people were making if they make art for their social media involving it outside of the story? Years later after it was made / written / created? Genuine question. Last question I will ask, at least for a very long time.

That is good piece of art. I like it, feels friendly to me.

And yes, it is still an urban legend.

Thank you very much. What do you mean by friendly feeling?

I can sense energy... well, sometimes. Active occult stuff has energy I can pick up. And I can tell if it is an energy that is benevolent towards me or evil. There are sigils I can't even look at, proof enough that they are not to be looked at for me. But this art feels as friendly entity, which means it was created with intentions that are similar to mine, LHP and liberation, I assume.

Okay. How is the story and urban legend then? Do you feel anything with that logo / symbol / sigil?

This seems to be an Alternate Reality Game, much in the tradition of Ben Drowned or Marble Hornets.

Someone finds something strange decides to post about it online and the audience encourages them to look deeper into it, this would count as an urban legend because while a lot of the symbols are in fact occult; a lot of them seem to be of the creators original creation.
They seem to know their stuff about Occultism but that doesn't mean that the project they're doing has actual ties to any known group and are primarily there for the aesthetics. Simply because it's something unseen as of yet, and they have an interesting story to tell

That is an interesting perspective.

Do you feel an aura / whatever it is you described coming from it at all? And what kind is it?
No. In this case only the whole art is charged, parts of it are not independent wholes.

Listen, there is no need to be bothered anyhow about things looking the same being the same because they are not. Take a look at the series SW Clone wars, each clone has unique life. Same with symbols. Symbol on this picture is looking the same as other same symbol somewhere else, but he two are not one. Each can be very different in purpose and goals.

No reason to bother about it any more than you would be bothered by seeing a cross.

There is rumors about two movies that are supposedly cursed: The Incomparable Atuk and A Confederacy of Dunces.

There cases strike very similar to me, so I have the same questions for them. There is many podcasts, videos, blog / blog posts, and or etc discussing the subject matters.

How / why would these movie adaptions be cursed
Is it real? Or just coincidence?

Does imagining a fictional character as one of the main characters and or other characters from the stories cause something to happen, like death?

Does expressing interest in the roles and or adapting and or making anything related to the stories(movie, novel, short film, skit, music / song, visual art, comic book / manga, etc) cause the curse to take effect / affect?

Would someone saying 'I am going to play Atuk." And or something similar? cause the curse to go after that person and kill them? Even if that person did not have any true intention to do that? What if they did have true intention? Does it depend if one has read and or created a script first? What if one said it just to see if something would happen? What if one were to write an adaptation and film it just to see if something would happen at all?

What is someone tried to write a new screenplay / film adaptation? Would the curse go after that person and or people for making one if they had true intention? What if they had no true intention?

What would happen someone decided to make a fictional character of their, who is white / not Inuit, similar to / just Atuk? Or like an alternate version of that fictional character being Atuk / a story where that fictional character is Atuk?
Apologies for the poorly worded question, it is from an intrusive thought in my head.
How can I protect my fictional character(s) that I have made from that happening? I do not want to / do not intend any of my fictional character(s) to be Atuk / make alternate versions of them that are Atuk. And I never intend to make / replace Atuk in his story with any of my fictional characters.
Even though it was just an intrusive / unwanted / scary thought, will the curse go / come after me & kill me now? Is there a connection now with me and my fictional character(s) between the curse? How can I separate the / this connection if it exists? Would true intntion, fake intention and or no intention at all cause the curse to come after me / and or bring / bring back the entity / spirit to come after me na kill me?

Can one protect themselves from the curse? Especially from dying from it? How can one forget about learning about this completely?
I will take any suggestion for protection from the curse / just in general.

I apologize for so many questions. I just want answers so I can move past this. Please have a blessed day.

These questions sound like obsessive anxiety spirals. I am not sure if answering them would help you. This is for a few reasons:

1. People have differing opinions, and there's no way to vet some of these answers without trying them. If one random poster said everything was safe, would you believe them and be able to move past it?
2. These questions are based on specific experiences that few, if any people have had.
3. Similarly to 2, they require a lot of investigation into these random movies and "many podcasts, blog posts, etc" discussing them. You are asking A LOT of time and effort from other people who do not have the same priorities or anxieties. It is not fair to ask other people to do all of the research for you. If you are really worried about this stuff, stop engaging with it. It's not going to help you.

You sound quite young. Sorry if that is not the case, I don't mean it as a slight. I had similar fears when I was young as well. What helped me was, 1) avoiding this kind of content, and 2) learning about basic protection and defense magic so I felt capable of dealing with potentially scary situations.

I would recommend searching the forums and library to learn about methods of protection. I like Protection & Reversal Magick by Jason Miller and Spiritual Cleansing by Draja Mickaharic. However, there are a lot of other options out there if those don't resonate.
