We are fast approaching a time that will be incredibly 'uncomfortable' for most people.

If you have any striving for transcendence now is the time to kick that into highest gear

Heed this or not, you won't be left unscatched. Good luck everyone.

Im stocked up on deer meat, beer and mint Oreos. Think I'm ready.

So what is the catalyst this time? Jesus coming this week again? Trump grab a pussy somewhere? WW3? Q-Anon and Ufos? Epstien and Ufos plus Jesus all in the same week just after WW3 kicks off?

Oh wait, are you referring to the radio graphic thing about earth's Schuman resonance? Maybe its just grooving to some new tunes man. It's allowed right? Or does it have to do the same thing forever? I forget.

I've been hearing about the impending collapse of everything for decades. The shit will never hit the fan. There is no fan, just more piles of shit.

Having observed the broad spectrum of conspiranoia during all this time, I will say that the one common thread among the doomsayers is that they aren't usually involved in real life. They don't own companies. They don't own or manage property. They don't have careers. They don't have most of the things a modern person in a first-rate society would want. So naturally, they feel alienated and are eager to see everyone else's world fall apart. It's a defense mechanism that allows a person to feel comfortable with discomfort, under the theory that everyone else's comforts are artificial, temporary, and soon to disappear.

Ohhh the Dollar will crumble, the Ozone will disappear, the poles will flip, some comet or another will drop in for tea... none of it ever happens. What does happen are other things (like Covid lockdowns) that don't add up to the kind of collapse you want to foresee. Five, ten, twenty years from now you'll still be seeing the shit pile up, the fan will still not exist, and you will have wasted all that time. The one and only upside for the doomsayer is this feeling of smugness, trying to convince people that their lives are about to take a dive.

It's been almost 2000 years since John of Patmos was eating scrolls, and it's SSDD from then to now. Do something with yourself and forget about the world falling apart. You had bills to pay before then, you'll have bills to pay after then. Nothing will save you from the fact that you have to participate in society at some level or your life will suck and you will have no respect.

Well stayed. To me it is another form of spiritual bypassing. Much like Jesus, or Enlightenment and all that. You still have to work tomorrow (meaning you still live here and all the rules that applied yesterday apply today, no shortucts).

I didn't say 'collapse of everything'. I'm not sure what that even means. However, you seem blissfully unaware that we've had multiple societies crack up in recent history. The Soviet Union for one.

Anyway, I'm done on this. Reality will speak for itself.

Im not trying to be rude man. I have lived through so many 'ends of society' warnings. Acid rain, wars, you name it.

I get it, empires rise and fall, the U.S. is no exception, and yes, it will also fall one day and another will rise up and take its place. It's the way of things.

What I am saying is that no matter what, we still have to go to work tomorrow. I refuse to live my life thinking about it.

Plus, you weren't specific in your post. Vague on purpose perhaps? Dont take it as a personal attack, it wasn't meant to be. Just my take on the idea, nothing more.

And throughout all that history, you would have been way better off just putting all your money in S&P and forgetting about it than doing any kind of preparation.

I worry, because I came to same conclusion. Though in the reality it won't be any huge event. It's rather slow degeneration that doesn't even comes in phases but continually grows... like the heat around the frog in the water that is slowly warming towards boiling.

Some others are saying the same thing. What are your reasons for this prediction?

Cycles occur. I lived thru the Cuban Missile Crisis. Or, maybe I didn't, there's a lot of people who think we may have been shoved into an alternate reality,
part of the Multiverse theory. They cite Mandela Effect. Well, I can tell you that's real. One day, I noticed like SOooo many things different. On TV actually.
Ya, this generation's kids are being raised by I pad, or so I hear. We had TV. Black and white TV. ALL the commercials were suddenly different,
like noticeable even to a child, IDK how the adults didn't. See, commercials were ran for a long time, and they weren't like today, only big-ticket
items like cars and drugs. No, back then it was little household things even, soap. Hence, soap operas. Airtime was cheap, but shooting a new
commercial? huge cost. Run it until ppl are bored with it. People actually talked about new commercials around the water cooler, if novel enough.

Why am I going into this? Well, if this world IS a simulation, then WW3 will spark a reset, or at least a reboot, or something.

See, cycles occur, but we are NOT the Roman Empire, which was in the world of an Agricultural culture. It can survive, farmers are still there,
still planting and harvesting crops.

That is NOT how our technological world works. Farmers rely on machines, if they stop, well, there's no old plow & draft horses to fall back on.
There isn't even any seeds, the seeds are bought every year, I don't even think modern crops can seed themselves. Seed companies in flames?
No seeds. No planting. No food. We don't even need to nuke the whole planet to go extinct, just wipe out technology and it's stone age again.

So I damn well hope this is a simulation on some god-level AI somewhere, somewhen. Because we are too vulnerable unlike in the past.

Ever since Covid hit for me it feels like one thing after another but people made it through before and they will make it through again.

Humanity is tough and people band together to find a way all the time. People want to live and if there's a will there is a way!

I know I've lived through things I never even dreamed I would be able to make it through but I did. For me even being born was an ordeal. I've been poisoned by a caterpillar and still it made through. It was very painful.

Maybe if the technolgy we use keeps in mind nature there will be less societal collapse. It probably seems bad right now but if I can pull through I think everyone else can too. If they try and want to.

Doomsaying serves one important purpose: there are actual dangers, which are real; but keeping people in waiting for fictional ones makes them tired and apathetic towards the real dangers of failing economy, ecology, social catasrophies - all of which are real, actual, factual, could be easily observed and could have been avoided.
So, while you think you may have lived through many apocalyptic warnings, realize that you have lived through the fakes, while actual doom was predicted at least back in 70's by scientists and we are past the predicted point where it could have been avoided.
The Earth system simply has inertia, which meand the doom may be slower to manifest. But then, when it is already evident, the same inertia means there may not be a way to stop it. And you well know that none of your governments are competent even in times of peace and prosperity. What can you expect from them in times of an apocalypse?

What is 100% certain is while you may not yet die horribly, the quality of life most of you enjoy is at the end. It always ends when it's dependent on robbing others, and West had been living on others' resources for too long.
The Titanic of Western civilization had already collided with the iceberg. It just didn't sink right away, because it was kept afloat by the rest of the world. But it is already flooded and breaking up.

Those who survive won't be living in luxury suits built on suffering and death of other "subhuman" nations, they will be existing in digital concentration camps on rations. So enjoy the last freedoms you have left, it won't be for long.

Atleast if that happens people can make friends? Friends help with the quality of life issue so even when faced with that people can still be there for each other. Socializing and community I heard help with that trauma if that happens which I don't know if it will or not.

But I mean there's always that.

Or winning at a board game or if they allow pickles eating a pickle the worst way possible. I ate a pickle like corn on the cob once. It was funny for me I don't know about anyone else. Its the little things that can get people through hardship I've found.

Atleast thats how it was for me.
