This is pretty much how I see it (except I might have a longer discussion about what "exists" means in this scenarioThey exist. Just they aren't really 'gods'. Theyre egregores. Their capacities and powers are more limited than what people usually ascribe to them.
Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. If you don't want to strain your brain too much, take Crowley's very practical advice.While I take Crowley to task for many things, his advice here (below) is a pretty good place to stay even when you reach journeyman-level magician. After that your impossible things have been integrated and you won't go into spiritual psychosis... too much.
I also think some advice from the Principia Discordia might be useful
GP: Is Eris true?
M2: Everything is true.
GP: Even false things?
M2: Even false things are true.
