Isn't the OT the Yawehist sect's version of Israel's folklore/myth/history in an attempt to keep their culture while they were in Babylonian Exile? You know since the Babylonians were trying to dominate their culture with their own.

And the NT is the new Messianic sect's way of fulfilling the prophecies of the coming messiah in the OT by attributing that role to Jesus the Carpenter/Mystic/Healer?

I'm an ex Christian, so I do not appreciate how the Church (or the many I've been to) narrowly uses the Bible as a book of moralism from God, but I still do respect there are some magickal/spiritual truths in the Bible.
Yes, the New Testament is propaganda and the "Old Testament" is a reordered and edited version of the Tanakh - early Christians literally rearranged the Hebrew scripture to make it look like Jesus was being foreshadowed all along.

Honestly, I can't wait until we as a culture move on from the "messiah trap". So much of the war in the Middle East right now is because of competing psychoses about the end times and what a real messiah will look like.

Meanwhile, my colleague today was frothing at the mouth (he's Sunni Muslim) about both Jewish versions of the messianic end times and even about the Ahmadiyya people - a group that believes the final messiah already came in the form of some man who lived and died in northwest India while also proclaiming himself the final Avatar.

I have such a headache from all of their messianic prophecies. They are all going to learn the hard way that there is no external savior coming.

Even though I think most of it is metaphor I believe in great significance from the gnostic texts. The methods and ideas are important imo. Every culture tries to pin down the meanings of things and Gnosticism seems to cut through it. Even gnosticism deviates from itself. I mean this in a good way.

Most information contained in the book is inapplicable and false names a forensic science used to kill supernatural beings using stronger power superior to them; and the religion is wielded unto supporting of those false entities that are afraid to exist from the strength of torment that awaits them and who follows them. Teachings of Jesus are boring and non messianic; I prefer Buddhism. Never was there intervention from colliding powers that are dethroned from any true religion. Most of the teachings was to save population never an unique individual from their supreme targeted enemies that were overlooked intentionally unto the fate of the truth of the taken heaven territory reclaimed unto eternal punishment of such association. The book contains promises that are never true pretenses and fails to honor them prior to supplying them.

First, the bible is a set of books that was first known as "The Dead Sea Scrolls". The books were discovered in the Qumran Caves. Also, there were original manuscripts that were found too.

Second, the Tanach, which represent the Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings, were written first by Moses, the scribes, the priests, and the other prophets. The Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha, were written by other priests and prophets during the intertestamental period. The New Testament was written by the apostles. The New Testament apocrypha is a little known part of the bible too.

Third, according to the Strong's Concordance, the bible is known by these terms:

Scripture
1. H3791=kathab=writing
2. G1124=graphe=document, or Holy Writ

Scriptures
1. G1121=gramma=writing
2. G1124=graphe=document, or Holy Writ

Scroll
1. H5612=cepher=writing
2. G975=biblion=scroll

One analysis of the Hebrew Word "Kathab=H3791" gives, according to hebrew letter meanings, the following definition: Open Hand Mark of the Tent floorplan. Further analysis should be done, but, in part, the Hebrew Letters state that the writings (or, the Bible) is the plan from the tent (Or tabernacle). A plan directly from the Holy of Holies.
