Why are abrahamic religions like Judaism, Christianity and Islam so hateful against polytheism?

Someone here on WF compared it to Anglo-Irish conflict... oh wait, it was you! Actually that's good comparison. But beyond that I'm not taking sides.

Even including Israel?
I was there last year. It was interesting visit, I came there as humble visitor to a friends house, not to do politics. So please, don't mock me.

They definitely do face climate change. (higher heat during heat season, raining in different patterns than years before...) Don't know about the wastes though, I was shown a huge facility that was distilling water for them to drink. Mediterranean sea distilled water is source of almost all their water so that is not going to be an issue any time soon.

Yeah, but when locals who see the palce every year tell you that it is getting worse, well, they are the ones living there.
I think Israel is intentionally starving Palestinians. And yes, I think most Palestinians are Muslims, esp. on the radical side, sadly.

Honestly don't know. That is something that was impossible to find out how it is in Palestine... I mean it wouldn't be impossible, but not without some sort of trouble, to say the least. And I pray I will never again get so close to any battlefield... I don't even regret that I didn't see Jerusalem.

I've been wondering what is everyone's thoughts about Israeli-Palestinian war.
Looking at it as a hypothetical well intentioned alien observing Earth, and humanity as an organism with that problem as diseased tissue, it would be tempting to scoop up every one of them and Symphonia Christendom like in the movie Forgotten. Especially knowing some of their primitive beliefs.

However, knowing humans that might just make the problem worse. 🤣

In reality, there may be a path to reconciliation once they understand their survival is dependent upon letting go of insular, orthodox, religious delusions of superiority(Deus Vult etc) and all that goes against secularism.

I think simply based on current data we're on a path of worse warming than generally stated in major media, but yeah my timeline is way further down the line

As a former Muslim, I'd say it's mostly because of the scriptures being very strict about monotheism. Not too sure about Christianity or Judaism but in Islam, at least from what I've been taught, belief in more than one God is one of the few sins that can't (or rarely can be) forgiven. Not to mention, a lot of people that grow up in Abrahamic religions and communities are often told that polytheism is immoral.

I was told Jews prefer Muslims over Christians, because Christians are "polytheists", while Muslims and Jews believe in one God together.

For magic to work, the belief system you use has to be as strong as possible for you. Polytheism is basically the negation of monotheism, so from a magical point of view, monotheists have to do everything they can to negate any other belief system from the minds of their followers. Otherwise their (usually substandard for non-magicians) way of doing magic will be weakened even further.

Islam really is a case, leaving Islam, from what I hear, can be very hard and dangerous.
While when you convert to Islam, everything before that is like forgotten and forgiven already. (be it paganism, homosexuality, stealing, any sin before... was another life)

Is that true?

Yes—sins that you committed before converting are forgiven—though you might still need to repent.

Now, leaving Islam (at least as far as I know) isn’t dangerous or hard unless you live in certain places, however one thing I do recall being told is that when some leaves Islam, their sins are given to the people who made them leave.

Not sure about that but it could be true—however we do get told that Christians are polytheists.

That is evil, real fearmongering that keeps people inside and makes others make sure that they don't. Well made fear-mongering.

Explains why they fear and hate non believers, like pagans. They don't endanger those who apostate but their co-believers are this way corrupted too by not preventing their apostasy. Damn, that is fine cult stuff.
