The middle east has been a hellhole for a long time, and it's set to be more literally that with climate change. These fools are fighting over future wastesI've been wondering what is everyone's thoughts about Israeli-Palestinian war.
Even including Israel? The middle east has been a hellhole for a long time, and it's set to be more literally that with climate change. These fools are fighting over future wastes
I was there last year. It was interesting visit, I came there as humble visitor to a friends house, not to do politics. So please, don't mock me.Even including Israel?
I mean Middle East was always a hot region, isn't it?I was there last year. It was interesting visit, I came there as humble visitor to a friends house, not to do politics. So please, don't mock me.
They definitely do face climate change. (higher heat during heat season, raining in different patterns than years before...) Don't know about the wastes though, I was shown a huge facility that was distilling water for them to drink. Mediterranean sea distilled water is source of almost all their water so that is not going to be an issue any time soon.
Yeah, but when locals who see the palce every year tell you that it is getting worse, well, they are the ones living there.I mean Middle East was always a hot region, isn't it?
I think Israel is intentionally starving Palestinians. And yes, I think most Palestinians are Muslims, esp. on the radical side, sadly.Yeah, but when locals who see the palce every year tell you that it is getting worse, well, they are the ones living there.
Honestly don't know. That is something that was impossible to find out how it is in Palestine... I mean it wouldn't be impossible, but not without some sort of trouble, to say the least. And I pray I will never again get so close to any battlefield... I don't even regret that I didn't see Jerusalem.I think Israel is intentionally starving Palestinians. And yes, I think most Palestinians are Muslims, esp. on the radical side, sadly.
Looking at it as a hypothetical well intentioned alien observing Earth, and humanity as an organism with that problem as diseased tissue, it would be tempting to scoop up every one of them and Symphonia Christendom like in the movie Forgotten. Especially knowing some of their primitive beliefs.I've been wondering what is everyone's thoughts about Israeli-Palestinian war.
Now that would be a separate thread, wouldn't it?I've been wondering what is everyone's thoughts about Israeli-Palestinian war.
Might be, but I'm afraid of discussing it. I professed myself to be neutral about it/both sides are the same kinda person. Now that would be a separate thread, wouldn't it?
I think simply based on current data we're on a path of worse warming than generally stated in major media, but yeah my timeline is way further down the line) Don't know about the wastes though, I was shown a huge facility that was distilling water for them to drink. Mediterranean sea distilled water is source of almost all their water so that is not going to be an issue any time soon.
I was told Jews prefer Muslims over Christians, because Christians are "polytheists", while Muslims and Jews believe in one God together. As a former Muslim, I'd say it's mostly because of the scriptures being very strict about monotheism. Not too sure about Christianity or Judaism but in Islam, at least from what I've been taught, belief in more than one God is one of the few sins that can't (or rarely can be) forgiven. Not to mention, a lot of people that grow up in Abrahamic religions and communities are often told that polytheism is immoral.
I thought monotheists are against the magick. For magic to work, the belief system you use has to be as strong as possible for you. Polytheism is basically the negation of monotheism, so from a magical point of view, monotheists have to do everything they can to negate any other belief system from the minds of their followers. Otherwise their (usually substandard for non-magicians) way of doing magic will be weakened even further.
There are loads of magicians who get their power from The One God, whatever that God may be. Feel free to correct me, but isn't that basically the RHP?I thought monotheists are against the magick.
Islam really is a case, leaving Islam, from what I hear, can be very hard and dangerous. As a former Muslim, I'd say it's mostly because of the scriptures being very strict about monotheism. Yes—sins that you committed before converting are forgiven—though you might still need to repent.Islam really is a case, leaving Islam, from what I hear, can be very hard and dangerous.
While when you convert to Islam, everything before that is like forgotten and forgiven already. (be it paganism, homosexuality, stealing, any sin before... was another life)
Is that true?
Not sure about that but it could be true—however we do get told that Christians are polytheists.I was told Jews prefer Muslims over Christians, because Christians are "polytheists", while Muslims and Jews believe in one God together.
That is evil, real fearmongering that keeps people inside and makes others make sure that they don't. Well made fear-mongering.I do recall being told is that when some leaves Islam, their sins are given to the people who made them leave.
