I've met multiple people claiming that they sense their soul to have wings. I think that at least some of them were not making this up. So this makes me wonder, do the souls evolve wings? Does it really mean something about the soul to have wings, like some sort of maturity or something?

I honestly have no idea, or at least nothing that I could say with being at least being convinced about it.

Technically, souls do not need wings. But real people can have wings. They can even appear during a lifetime. It happens. The Council of the Gods may make such a decision and “grant physical wings.” At first, small wings are given, which appear on the upper part of the back. After some time, the wings move to the shoulder blades on the back and become much larger in size.

I have heard of something regarding the soul having multiple parts. The ba is one part in Egyptian paganism. It is often depicted as a human-headed bird. This part is released in dreams and in death. It is the part that is associated with the persons personality and attributes.

What we see can be tricky, especially if you’re trying to compare different people’s visions against one another.

Some of them are probably explained by simple imagination, how they want to see themselves or who they wish they were.

Another thing you have to watch out for is we tend to see what we expect (at some level) to see. Cultural stories, religious icons, art, etc… all play a role. One reason I tend to caution against reading too many accounts of a ritual before you do the ritual yourself.

But even outside of that, a lot of things we see in visions are symbolic, meant to convey a truth/aspect regarding what we’re “seeing”. Like horo said above, there isn’t really any reason for spirits to have wings.

So the question is, why are they seeing wings not why do they have wings.

food for thought

As an intermediate disciple of Charles Fort myself, I can say that while I can accept that there are people who do have physical wings, only certain people can see them.

With regards to the soul having wings, I tend to think that this is an individual attempt at resolving an inner tension of the apparent sense of mind-body dualism that may well have its location in the pineal gland. I hypothesize that physical death could certainly provide a determinant answer, but this is not communicable to others (viz, the living) except via active healthy non-calcinated glands.
