Here you may share PDFs of rare books.

Books must be Occult related.

This thread is a temporary measure for users to share books without cluttering the forums, until I implement the dedicated library of WF section.

Here are some notable threads so far:
Going forward, post all book/PDF shares here.

Hello. Yesterday I went through a book called Salve Honoris Morte by Edgar Kerval. I liked it. It mentions about the Death current and Santa Muerte. I read it on Library of DOS. I recommend it for the ones interested in Santa Muerte and the Death current

@Alfher's recent posts inspired me to find and upload some Jason Miller books for you guys. Just for ease of access. Feel free to link people here.

And here's another interesting find. One of the oldest books on "Necromancy" in English (at least half) in British Libraries.

I use this book so often it’s dirty. Some days I wonder why I put it back on the shelf because it usually comes down again the same day
I've heard a lot of shit talked about Cunningham and his academic integrity, so I've never fully decided on whether or not to get that book. It actually works out alright for you?

It’s basically just a description of different plants and herbs and similar things. Traditional uses. I haven’t read any of the other books from him before. It’s decent though. The glossary could be a bit more straightforward but eh it works

Academic integrity affects my opinion of the author, not of their work.

If someone plagarizes that makes them a shitty academic, but does not mean their work is wrong or not worth referencing... if you get what I mean.

I'm not talking plagiarism, I'm talking the actual contents of his books. People saying he's full of shit or fails to provide any sources for the facts he writes.

Oh right... got any... sources...? 😂

Not trying to be a naysayer I'd genuinely like to know more.

Like, I wouldn't doubt it if you said he plagarised, but I'd like to know more if you're saying he doesn't know his shit. Like, where did you hear that from?

Here's 6 volumes of a really great compendium of occult history that is often referenced in the scholarly study of the occult/esotericism:

Hell, I don't even remember at this point. Probably somewhere else on the internet. I can't even remember if it was specifically Cunningham that got shat on, or one of the other authors Llewellyn has published, but yeah. Just criticisms like the way Wicca and witchcraft were presented in a very "fluffy" fashion in certain books, and how "Gypsy Magick" is a whole minefield of inaccuracy if you're not careful. Can't remember if it was the herb book specifically that had any criticisms, though.

I think it would be best then not to make accusations without some tangible claim or at least your own personal opinion on why he's wrong.

The Cunningham books I have posted here are good reference/info lookup books used by a lot of occultists and they do have good info in them. I think it could be potentially harmful to steer people away from it on the basis of "I once heard someone say..."

The Cunningham books are good. Not sure where you heard that. His Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs is kind of the go to.

Llewellyn has definitely taken shit in the past because of the "fluffy" Wicca stuff, but they publish some good stuff. Probably like any other publisher. Some is crap, some is good.

My intention was absolutely not to steer anyone away, sorry if I had given that impression.

I still have to find the time to actually delve into this, but it's the personal grimoire of John Fian. He was one of the many tried, tortured and killed for witchcraft in Scotland. They found this among his stuff afterwards, and luckily for us, it wasn't destroyed. I looked up the ebook scan mostly out of curiosity, and if I learn something practical then great. But the kind of witchcraft commoners would've done during this period in history isn't always so well-recorded, and something written by the practitioner himself is about as accurate as you can get.
