How many/which do they think there are? I'm interested in and looking into this subject a bit and hoping to find some good books.

Thank you!

A decent overview is Norine Dresser's American Vampires though it's a bit old now. A lot has changed with the internet.

If you're in America, especially in urban areas, you will have access to a larger number of groups. The more famous are the Temple of the Vampire (created by members of the Church of Satan), House Kheperu (founded by M. Bellanger) and the Order of the Vampyre (you have be a member of the Temple of Set to join).

Father Sebastiaan also had a group at one time but, like a few others, I think they've essentially become local groups that host Goth-theme balls and events. I'm not sure those groups emphasise teaching: they tend towards being an aesthetic movement rather than searching for significance from the archetype.

If you're on this side of the Atlantic, the choices are thinner on the ground. The three bigger groups mentioned above have a presence in Europe, especially England and Germany, but it's more quiet than in America. There is a very serious, selective group in London but getting access is difficult. I have heard of groups in France too but they seem to be closer to the aesthetic and are tied to the Goth music scene.

The best books to start practice with are Webb's Energy Magick of the Vampyre and Belanger's The Psychic Vampire Codex. They're both in the library here.

Look into Michael W. Ford's organization The Black Order of the Dragon, dating back to the 1990s. Some of his books cover vampiric sorcery as practiced by said group.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm looking into various groups you gave. Basically the Temple of the Vampire say they're the real vampire religion and want physical immortality. Then I look at House Kheperu and search Michelle Belanger on YouTube but it seems they're a cult? This person had a bad experience with them I listened to:

Then I look at Order of the Vampyre. I'm not really interested in Satanism that they call Setian but it was kind of cool.

So books I have to look into, one looks like cult (Belanger's The Psychic Vampire Codex) but the other (Webb's Energy Magick of the Vampyre)? I try to navigate the library a bit, hard to find, kind of no search button?

Michael W. Ford looks nice though so some books. Thank you for the link!

Michelle Belanger and Father Sebastiaan are better to stay many miles away from. I appreciate the video. Always good to learn from those who are sharing their experiences.

Aset Ka and the Green Order are both quite prominent when it comes to more secretive societies. I'd say both are pretty reliable from my experience. However, you must be affiliated with the Deity Isis to be in Aset Ka. The Green Order on the other hand is home to pioneers of vampyrism such as N.D Blackwood to name one.

It is completely absurd for people to complain that they have been exploited, abused, or deceived in some kind of vampiric cult or group! These phenomena on the surface level only reflect the true nature of relationships within the vampiric structure. Those who expect vampires or 'vampyroids' to adhere to any ethical or moral principles are, at the very least, naive. The imperative of vampirism is feeding, and there is no room for honesty or moralizing. For someone to allow themselves the luxury of chivalry within a vampiric framework, they must be very, very, very powerful. Even then, it is only a game. The essence is known.

As a former Freemason I never want to hear about any secret society, cult, or sect again. When I became a Freemason, I was brainwashed, thinking they had the absolute truth (they don't have a shit) and that it would solve my problems. I ended up solving my superiors' problems instead of my own and wasting a lot of my life studying a lot of hand gestures and symbols in those stupid two- or three-hour meetings inside the Lodge just to realize at the end that i joined to a Men Social Club instead of a real secret society of knowledge or power that you can use to solve problems in real life. People think that satanic and vampire cults are the ones that abuse people the most, but believe me, the organizations that pretend to be moralistic, holy, sacred, good, enlighted whatever are the worst. You only have to look at the life of Aleister Crowley and how he ended his days poor and addicted to drugs, not to mention other darker and more perverse aspects of his life. My advice is to follow your own path no matter many stumbles you have, in the end, they will be stumbles of your own cause, not for the cause of anyone else.

All the public groups (except the TOS order) are obviously derived from the TOV, which is a money-making operation. The Temple of Set's Vampyre order isn't focused on psychic vamping but it's more bullshit anyway. In general they know absolutely nothing. That can be ascertained from reading Aquino's book Mindstar, which is supposed to be about immortality but is shockingly vacuous.

I think I've already said it somewhere, but it raised red flag for me when Webb at the beginning of the book said that he wasn't part of the TOV, (never practiced it, it seems) yet he was listed as master of it and tasked with writing the book...

You mean the OV? I don’t think he says anything about the TOV in that book.

Oh, it's Order of the Vampire, not Temple. Missed that one. You're right.

Most of the groups out there are basically just cults. And the covens/groups that aren’t cults are doing chaos magick, but with a strong vampirism/vampire fascination. They’re not actually practicing magick that are for vampires, they just do chaos magick with a touch of blood and remote viewing. Then the real societies are choosing practitioners based on bloodlines only, so those are the ones all of us can’t join anyway.

Definitely. We have some friends in common, so Sebastian attended one of our gatherings in the local woods, while visiting our country. He was very inappropriate and bragged how he and his attendants would consume the energy of the ritual that was held that night. Ended up getting hexed for his effort and all three of them woke up covered in ticks, while the rest of us were untouched.
OTOH, he was very nice when we met in Paris and invited us to a ball he had slated in Le Machine, giving us VIP bands. It was an amazing party and he was a charming host. But his actual knowledge and magickal aptitude, leave a lot to be desired. Also being a raging narcissist and [alleged] groomer. There are some nice people in his cult, but on the whole the scene is mostly toxic occult cosplay.
