How many/which do they think there are? I'm interested in and looking into this subject a bit and hoping to find some good books.

Thank you!

A decent overview is Norine Dresser's American Vampires though it's a bit old now. A lot has changed with the internet.

If you're in America, especially in urban areas, you will have access to a larger number of groups. The more famous are the Temple of the Vampire (created by members of the Church of Satan), House Kheperu (founded by M. Bellanger) and the Order of the Vampyre (you have be a member of the Temple of Set to join).

Father Sebastiaan also had a group at one time but, like a few others, I think they've essentially become local groups that host Goth-theme balls and events. I'm not sure those groups emphasise teaching: they tend towards being an aesthetic movement rather than searching for significance from the archetype.

If you're on this side of the Atlantic, the choices are thinner on the ground. The three bigger groups mentioned above have a presence in Europe, especially England and Germany, but it's more quiet than in America. There is a very serious, selective group in London but getting access is difficult. I have heard of groups in France too but they seem to be closer to the aesthetic and are tied to the Goth music scene.

The best books to start practice with are Webb's Energy Magick of the Vampyre and Belanger's The Psychic Vampire Codex. They're both in the library here.

Look into Michael W. Ford's organization The Black Order of the Dragon, dating back to the 1990s. Some of his books cover vampiric sorcery as practiced by said group.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm looking into various groups you gave. Basically the Temple of the Vampire say they're the real vampire religion and want physical immortality. Then I look at House Kheperu and search Michelle Belanger on YouTube but it seems they're a cult? This person had a bad experience with them I listened to:

Then I look at Order of the Vampyre. I'm not really interested in Satanism that they call Setian but it was kind of cool.

So books I have to look into, one looks like cult (Belanger's The Psychic Vampire Codex) but the other (Webb's Energy Magick of the Vampyre)? I try to navigate the library a bit, hard to find, kind of no search button?

Michael W. Ford looks nice though so some books. Thank you for the link!

Michelle Belanger and Father Sebastiaan are better to stay many miles away from. I appreciate the video. Always good to learn from those who are sharing their experiences.

Aset Ka and the Green Order are both quite prominent when it comes to more secretive societies. I'd say both are pretty reliable from my experience. However, you must be affiliated with the Deity Isis to be in Aset Ka. The Green Order on the other hand is home to pioneers of vampyrism such as N.D Blackwood to name one.
